faithfull mama: Poetry

Courtesy of Nathaniel and a new app called Word Mover. This is completely undirected on my part and must be way better than writing on paper because that is not something that this child enjoys in the slightest. This is when I think that interest-led learning has much more merit than I fully understand. Monday, January 21, 2013. Bless his little heart! Thank you for sharing. January 22, 2013 1:54 AM. faithfull mama: Some days
http://faithfullmama.blogspot.com/2013/01/some-days.html
We get lots done, we play, we learn, babies nap, and generally everything goes as it should. Today worked out that way. There have been enough days these couple weeks that haven't been that way that I think I need to halt and remember this one. Also, notes to self:. Your attitude makes a difference. Let them know what's expected of them. Your oldest loves a checklist! Give them choices and let them be accountable for their decisions. Make time to run off some energy. Wednesday, January 16, 2013.

Simply Julie: Wrapping Paper Bows
http://jswfield.blogspot.com/2011/03/wrapping-paper-bows.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Have you ever had a strip of wrapping paper leftover after you've wrapped a gift? Don't toss it in the trash! Turn that scrap into a beautiful EASY bow in just a minute or two. Next, cut vertically up to (NOT THROUGH) the top folded edge. I cut up to about 1/2 inch from the folded edge. Again, this does not have to be perfect. Guesstimate. The finished bow depends entirely on the width of your cuts and the length of your scrap of paper. I can never make the same bow twice....

More Blessed: Advent Calendar and Count Down pictures
http://moreblessed.blogspot.com/2010/11/advent-calendar-and-count-down-pictures.html
Advent Calendar and Count Down pictures. So I wasn't as quick with the pictures as I planned on. Home school and meetings will do that to you. Here are the pictures I took of the advent calendars and the count down calendar. This is on a 12 muffin tin, I plan to put things "to do" in the cups, and I know we won't actually do 24, we've tried that. So I am doing 12 instead, like the 12 days of Christmas. This I think I can stick to.). November 22, 2010 at 6:37 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

All Thumbs Crafts: How to Make Burlap Frames - Without any Wood
http://allthumbscrafts.blogspot.com/2011/03/how-to-make-burlap-frames-without-any.html
A craft tutorial blog for the un-Martha: where those of us who are all thumbs and don't have a big budget can still create some nice craft projects. Thursday, March 10, 2011. How to Make Burlap Frames - Without any Wood. I really like this last one. Gives me a giggle when it says "5% Cookie 95% Rum.". As you can see in the very first picture, one frame (lower right) is darker than the others. I used a very watered down black paint and gave it a "wash" over the frame - making it look slightly older...
