About The Story-telling Mom. A little more.for the little ones. That glass of milk. When you have a 4 year old, you have the best companion for your outings. Particularly, when you also have a couch potato for a husband. I am blessed with both. Look at that, mom! You told me you’d buy that for me. Mom, can we buy this too? Mom, I want that. Mom, look didn’t we see that in the ad? Let’s put this too in your basket. And I see him wanting to buy everything from bandaids to tampons. I could answer. If on...

About The Story-telling Mom. A little more.for the little ones. That glass of milk. A little more.for the little ones. With every new kid born, a generation takes birth. Ask your mother, and she would agree that your son is smarter than you were at any given age, though she used to marvel at your antics (like blinking when she said BOO) and admitted that you are born ‘loaded with brains’. But here’s an observation. Would it be wrong to say that every new generation raises the bar a bit?

About The Story-telling Mom. A little more.for the little ones. That glass of milk. That glass of milk. Like every kid, I have also played my share of ‘bad girl’ and, turned my face away at the sight of food. But my mother giggles at how she used to ditch me into finishing the bowl till the last grain and morsel. Stories like that of a jackal whose mouth watered at the sight of hot. Decades later, I can’t expect my son to be this meek. Can I? I would muster all my acting skills to come to my rescue.

The short story blog. Short Stories. Comments and criticism welcome. Enjoy! Saturday, October 13, 2012. Madras Chronicles—Fathers and Sons. E were driving home after I picked up my sons from violin class. The underground tunneling work for the Metro Rail had made our drive home a tad longer. Everyday emotions of a Mango Man. 124; Comments RSS. JoyDepression.Death - Robin Williams! Joy…Depression….Death – Robin Williams! Posted on August 13, 2014. Wonder what pains were hidden behind that smiling visage! Williams’ suicide raises that age-old question of what constitutes real happiness? Sad that one who gave so much joy to others could go through chronic depression and a sad death. Proof yet again that fame, money and success doesn’t guarantee lifelong bliss. Nah – Habits, 2014.

A Writer's Spark: The Dollhouse
http://awriterspark.blogspot.com/2012/07/doll-house.html
Sunday, July 15, 2012. Tell me more.", Dad enthusiastically said after I showed him my recent project as he closed his laptop. It was a dollhouse made of old paper and it boasts of a foldable kitchen, living room and everything a simple house has. I was the happiest girl that afternoon as he played with me, really proud of his daughter's work. While we were playing, I looked at him and felt that I he really loved me, that I was far more important than his work. I gave my computer one last look as I decid...

My Short Stories: She Can Only Cry
http://nadnuts-shortstories.blogspot.com/2008/01/she-can-only-cry.html
She Can Only Cry. Posted by Nadiah Alwi - Write at Home Mom. She cries and cries. There is nothing that she can do but cry. She looks at the sky, she cries. She looks at her own reflection in the mirror, she cries. She looks at the flowers she planted months ago in her small garden on the right side of her yard, she cries. There are only tears, there, in her eyes, on her cheeks. Sometimes, on her blouse, on her hands, everywhere. There is nothing but tears. She sees him, and his telescope. I wanderd what...
