The Studio - Guernsey. Teenagers across the UK will have school lessons in mindfulness. July 20, 2015. Teenagers across the UK will have school lessons in mindfulness. Thousands of teenagers across the UK will have school lessons in mindfulness in an experiment designed to see if it can protect against mental illness. Teachers will encourage students to use “mind exercises” that train their attention on the present, such as deep breathing, in the Wellcome Trust study. Paul Mclinden returns to Guernsey.

The Studio - Guernsey. Born in Guernsey, I left the island in 1989 to undertake professional dance training, initially with ‘Bodywork Dance Company’ before moving to ‘The London Studio Centre’. It was here that my Pilates experience began, working in the equipment studio as part of my classical ballet training. I qualified as a matwork teacher with The Body Control Pilates Association in 2007 and then went on to formally train on the Reformer and Cadillac with Gordon Thompson at Pilates Body Europe.
