Saturday, December 25, 2010. Historically this varietal was typically planted on poor infertile soil thus creating smaller yields. With a combined sensitivity to rot and disease floral abortion is very common giving this grape it’s name piccolo (for small). Friday, July 8, 2011. This was a fun way to spend 4th of July, smokin salmon. I don't have a smoker so I used my hibachi grill and well that did the trick and here is how. What you will need:. 4 pounds of Salmon (I used half of the Sock-eye we go fresh from the market). 1/3 cup packed brown sugar. Japanese artist Tatzu Nishi. Transformed the sculpture of Christopher Columbus at Columbus Circle. Into an even more interesting work of art. The artist built a rather stylish penthouse living room with the sculpture as its center. Has been on my to-visit list since I first visited the Hudson Valley last summer. A former Nabisco box printing facility, Dia was turned into a minimalist art gallery in 2003 - an enormous, cavernous gallery. The only other time I visited Beacon.
