Friday, August 22, 2014. Summer, part 1. My summer travels started at the very end of May. A One Year Done Celebration. Note the chicken balloon. And remembered our own plane ride in, just one very year ago. We laughed about our moments of confusion over the past year, the realities/unclarity that we faced at every turn, and those 'funny' moments you didn't know you were being 'funny' that you might want to forget, but Mongolians will never let you live down. Sunday, January 18, 2015. Burning coal produces a lot of dirtiness. Things just become black and dirty. I have a special black jacket that I only put on when making fires, or busting up coal, because I know whatever I wear will be filthy after even thinking about coal. Something else that you have to deal with when fire making is the ash. You constantly have to empty the ashes out of your stove, which is also quite uncleanly. The process goes as follows. Step one: put on the black jacket.
