http://sirwilliamoftheleaf.blogspot.com/2012/07/darjeeling-phuguri-golden-tips-autumnal.html
Sir William of the Leaf. Tea reviews and Tea related subjects. Monday, July 16, 2012. Darjeeling: Phuguri, Golden Tips, Autumnal 2011. It has certainly been a while since I posted! I just got in a new shipment of tea and it inspired me to sit and relax with a good cup! This tricky little Darjeeling, at first glance, would have you thinking that it is an Assam! The golden tips are unusual for the champagne of teas to possess, although not unlikely for its brother and partner in crime, Assam teas! Very unl...

Sir William of the Leaf: June 2011
http://sirwilliamoftheleaf.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Sir William of the Leaf. Tea reviews and Tea related subjects. Sunday, June 19, 2011. The finale of the Zealong trio. Not much to say prior to tasting, so lets dive in. The aroma of the dry leaf is comprised of an interesting combination. Cocoa and nutmeg are the first two scents that leave an impression. The smell of freshly baked bread is the second aroma. The aroma of the liquor was different, to say the least. I have noticed this vegetal trait in all three of the Zealong teas. One equivalent I can co...

Sir William of the Leaf: Castleton Autumnal FTGFOP-1
http://sirwilliamoftheleaf.blogspot.com/2011/01/castleton-autumnal-ftgfop-1.html
Sir William of the Leaf. Tea reviews and Tea related subjects. Thursday, January 13, 2011. As a few of you know, I enjoy the autumnal flush teas from Darjeeling the most out of all the flushes. I was able to order up some very fresh, 2010 autumnal flush Darjeelings for a very reasonable price from DarjeelingTeaXpress. I came about this vendor, which is very new, by means of Lahikmajoe's blog. He talked up the teas quite nicely and it, being the time I enjoy autumnals, enticed me to purchase a few. I admi...

Sir William of the Leaf: August 2011
http://sirwilliamoftheleaf.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Sir William of the Leaf. Tea reviews and Tea related subjects. Thursday, August 11, 2011. This tea does not quite resemble a white tea, or an oolong tea. Read more about this contradiction at the Norbu Tea website. The dry leaf is quite extraordinary; the leaves look frosted and outlined in faint white. The leaves are well pearled and have a wonderful waxy sheen to them. The aroma of the dry leaf can be summed up in a few different scents:. Sweet bread, cream and raw stevia. The tea did not have the grea...

Sir William of the Leaf: A first time look at Ginseng oolong
http://sirwilliamoftheleaf.blogspot.com/2012/08/a-first-time-look-at-ginseng-oolong.html
Sir William of the Leaf. Tea reviews and Tea related subjects. Saturday, August 11, 2012. A first time look at Ginseng oolong. I have gained quite a collection and wish to show them off to you all! The taste really was a delightful surprise! It is lightly flavorful and reminiscent of a roasted oolong with a layer of sweet fruit! It is balanced great and has a delicate mouthfeel. I didn't know that the ginseng would be so subtle and yet add so much to a tea. Thank you to Teavivre for the sample! Sir Willi...

Travelling with Tea | Peonyts' blog
https://peonyts.wordpress.com/2013/09/21/travelling-with-tea
Sharing a passion for Chinese tea with Singaporeans and the world at large. Is there a wrong way to brew tea? Today in Tea News →. September 21, 2013. Most of the time, I don’t have this problem since those travels are to tea places. I would literally spend virtually the entire day drinking tea and I use a taster mug to perform covert tea comparisons in the morning. Not to mention the fact that I like to buy some tea wares when I am in China as well. This travel tea set is a lifesaver. 5- A Fairness cup.
