This is our deaf Dogo Argentina/American Bulldog mix. She will be approx. 3 in September and has had a very hard life thus far. She was orginally rescued by a deaf rescue group from an owner who had her tied to a tree and rubber bands around her ears. She was loved and cared for back to health. Her ears didn't make it but her spirit did. About 2 years ago I lost my cat of 12 years. My husband wanted a dog- I never wanted another animal. The kids wanted a dog- guess who won? This is the morning before surgery. At home she growled at everyone even when being told she was a good girl. She shook some while laying in the floor and whimpered. She wants no water and no food. Hope we have made the right decision. She has been doing okay today. Mostly sleeping or lounging. Closes day to normal yet. As far as attitude!

Month 1 Week 1:. Yesterday we had a set back. Polar started crying in the morning and I thought perhaps she sat on her hip funny. (not funny ha-ha! By last night she was trying to walk on her front paws only. As usual she wanted no one near her. This morning she is in a better mood but still alot of pain. She is sitting on the sofa with her frozen peas but still giving out kisses! Month 1 Week 2. Month 1 Week 3. Go, Polar, go!

Friday, July 12, 2013. Kids at the lake house. We have enjoyed this time we've had on Lake Gertrude. Everyone of the kids love to sea doo and ride the tube, catch minnows eat lots of popsicles and play on the slide. Lake days are the BEST! Carter is all about the sea doo rides! Britton likes this blow up slide but really his favorite is fishing! My least favorite is trying to unhook the fish and throw back without. Macie is getting her vest on to ride the tube. She isn't afraid! This grandma loves them.
