The Life and Times of Our Monkey Family: And you shall be called Baby Monkey...
http://monkeyupdate.blogspot.com/2006/05/and-you-shall-be-called-baby-monkey.html
The Life and Times of Our Monkey Family. Sunday, May 07, 2006. And you shall be called Baby Monkey. After we got married, we joked that now I was a monkey too, so it became kind of a default nickname for both of us. We didn't want to find out if we were having a girl or boy, so Baby Monkey seemed like the perfect nickname for our unborn child. About halfway through the pregnancy we realized that it was the Chinese year of the Monkey! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

http://monkeyupdate.blogspot.com/2015/07/july-2015.html
The Life and Times of Our Monkey Family. Wednesday, July 01, 2015. The kids' summer vacation is already a third over for us! We've been enjoying the days and trying to make a point to go to the pool more often, go on more bike rides, etc. Papa and I are also mid-way through a few home projects and will hopefully get them wrapped up before the summer is over! I love hearing what M4 is thinking about. A few days ago I asked what toppings he'd like on his bratwurst. He said, "a hot dog! Currey In a Hurry.

Clarktoberfest: My One Hour of Glory
http://clarktoberfest.blogspot.com/2007/11/my-one-hour-of-glory.html
Thursday, November 15, 2007. My One Hour of Glory. Drive as fast as you can around this curve, and when I signal I want you to brake as hard as you can. ". It's 36 degrees F outside? I'm driving an 80,000 Euro car with ZERO insurance on a track that was designed to mimic five of the most challenging curves of modern tracks? Exhilaration vandalizing every stone in my head, each twist leaving another spatter of paint obscuring . well, whatever was there before. Sweet, just sweet. We're off to Germany!

The Life and Times of Our Monkey Family: Talking with M4
http://monkeyupdate.blogspot.com/2015/07/talking-with-m4.html
The Life and Times of Our Monkey Family. Friday, July 31, 2015. M4 has been a chatty little guy lately. He wants to be in on all the conversations and has a lot to say now. Every once in a while M.G. thinks it is funny to ask for a mix of liquid and frozen H2O in her glass. M4 picked up on this and often mentions how "Rebecca calls ice frozen H2O" or he'll ask for frozen H2O in his glass and then has to make sure I understand he's talking about water. M4: "Knock-knock. Who's there? Currey In a Hurry.

Clarktoberfest: Clarktoberfest 2007
http://clarktoberfest.blogspot.com/2007/10/clarktoberfest-2007.html
Friday, October 26, 2007. Ah, yes. Our annual Clarktoberfest celebration has come and gone. We are now both one year older, and one year wiser.Er, I guess that last point is debatable. At least we know more about Germany than we did one year ago- that's something! As many of you know, we spent our birthdays this year with Andy's family on a grand German adventure known around the world as Oktoberfest. What a rush. That place is crowded! You've all got to promise to come next year. 2 1/2 hours and €...

The Gist: Medical Mystery
http://gettingthegist.blogspot.com/2008/01/medical-mystery.html
And the girl thought she had an angle. Friday, January 04, 2008. That's me. The good news is, if you go somewhere with me, I'm the one likely to end up with the weird injury, not you. I am like the magnet that sucks them into my field. A few samples that spring immediately to mind:. Sledding incident, Lake Tahoe, December 2007. Toxic reaction, South coast of Jamaica, August 2007. Friction overdose, Oakland, circa 2002. Grotesquely inflamed bee stings on notable body parts:. Bottom of foot (stepped on bee...

And the girl thought she had an angle. Wednesday, November 05, 2008. Election Night: November 4, 2008. How to write about last night, the night America elected Barack Obama its next president? How to write about the feeling at all, and particularly how to do it on no sleep and adrenaline alone? And pressed it to my chest with my hand over my heart like how you stand for the Pledge of Allegiance in elementary school. He was born for this.". Style dress. Her date wore an "Obamarama" shirt. Clarktoberfest: Clowns and Candy = Rosenmontag
http://clarktoberfest.blogspot.com/2007/02/clowns-and-candy-aka-rosenmontag.html
Sunday, February 25, 2007. Clowns and Candy = Rosenmontag. Our gang as we headed to the parade. L to R): Melanie, Claudia, Petra, Me, Constantine, Achim. The Rosenmontag parade was awesome! Every single spectator was in costume, as well as every person involved in the parade. In addition to smiling at the funny floats and dancing along with the marching bands, we spent most of the parade yelling out "Karamelle! Good to know for next time, I guess. :). I've posted some highlight pics from Rosenmontag below.
