March | 2015 | The Things I Can
https://thethingsican.wordpress.com/2015/03
The Things I Can. Hi, Ordinary, Meet Jesus. March 9, 2015. Today is an absolutely gorgeous day. The ice has melted, the sun is shining, I can see blue sky and the air quality is pretty good! It feels as if the earth is agreeing that the pain of winter may last through the night, but the joy of spring comes in the morning, thank you J3sus! Jayden kept saying that the Forbidden City was where Mao lived thousands of years ago. I can see why he would be confused😉. That’s me pondering the wall. To do, right?

The Things I Can. Hi, Ordinary, Meet Jesus. Roller Coaster of Love. November 10, 2014. I realize now that phrase was loaded with so many underlying expectations that I set myself up to question everything about God in the middle of the inevitable muck of our narrow path. And maybe that’s the point, after all. You can’t develop deeper faith unless you do something that requires deep faith. Will we sell our house? Will we raise all of the support we need to stay in China for our two year contract? Might ha...

The Things I Can. Hi, Ordinary, Meet Jesus. January 8, 2015. That’s me with the back pack on crossing the street in our neighborhood called Yang Guang. 8220;Cheap Street” near where I live in Yang Guang, Tianjin, China. From left to right: The view from my living room window, complete with smoke stack. The view looking out across the small “lake” from the main gate. The tall white building in the foreground is our building. But the truth is that anything I love or trust more than Gd is keeping me from be...
January | 2015 | The Things I Can

The Things I Can. Hi, Ordinary, Meet Jesus. January 17, 2015. There is one phrase in Chinese I have been saying over and over since I’ve gotten here:. Running parallel to my language prison of misunderstanding is certain practices that are commonplace in China, but extremely foreign to me. Oh poop, it’s another ting bu dong moment. I wandered up and down aisles composed completely of cooking oil, soy sauce, rice, and noodles (kind of like we have aisles completely composed of cereal). Chinese supermarket...
The Waiting Place | The Things I Can

The Things I Can. Hi, Ordinary, Meet Jesus. June 2, 2015. You can get so confused. That you’ll start in to race. Down long wiggled roads at a break-necking pace. And grind on for miles across weirdish wild space,. Headed, I fear, toward a most useless place. Oh, the Places You’ll Go! Until I actually have to go through the waiting place myself. The fabulous Early Childhood Center Foundations Class hard at play. Get those students during the summer. Or, the elementary. And about this time, I. The infuriat...

The Things I Can | "Hi, Ordinary, Meet Jesus."
The Things I Can. Hi, Ordinary, Meet Jesus. When my faith doesn’t run smoothly, I never try to repair it, but I send it back to Jesus, the manufacturer, the author and perfecter of my faith. And when He repairs it, it works so precisely. I Stand at the Door and Knock. By Corrie Ten Boom. Isn’t it kind of crazy how our hearts our get so sick sometimes and we desperately need a kind of open-heart surgery, but how gently our Great Physician invites us to have that surgery? It’s not working right and, in fac...

Just Run With Me Through Rows Of Speeding Cars.
Wednesday, December 1, 2010. My very strange dreams from last night which I have struggled to remember. Somewhere in all that I passed some girl I knew but I don't really know, if you get me? Kissing some boy and I said well, and asked if I could borrow her jumper later because my jacket was stolen and she said ok. It was a boys black and green weird hoodie. I was in a shower with Anais Mitchell. And then I woke up, and I don't know what happened next. The girl that stole the eiffel tower. Do you believe...

Things I Can and Can't Stand
Things I Can and Can't Stand. I wanted to make a page to complain about things that I just can't stand. Or talk about something great that has happend. It can be a wide range of things from neighbors, kids, spouse, friends, news, movies, sex and just life. I know a lot of people that need to tell someone. I want people to read this and say "I completly agree". So that we can all relate to each other. Friday, March 06, 2009. Criss Angel and Holly Madison Break Up. Friday, February 27, 2009.
