After bonding with them the next day (we crashed on basement couches) we made our way up to Milwaukee. I had only ever been to the Milwaukee zoo before, when I was 12, and a misplaced Polar bear made an incredible impression on me. Needless to say, I didn't really know what to expect out of Milwaukee. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Peanut Butter/Chocolate Chip Chewy Granola Bars. Adapted from Rachel Ray. 4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) unsalted butter. 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar. 2 cups plain granola. 1 cup rice cereal (Rice Krispies, etc.). 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips. 1/4 cup peanut butter chips. Combine honey and butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in brown sugar after butter starts to melt. S’mores Chewy Granola Bars. Adapted from Rachel Ray. 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar.

Tuesday, May 06, 2008. Today I am reclaiming my apartment. I've lived here for two years, and since then, I have never thoroughly cleaned through any of my stuff. But now college is over, and on my day off it's time for me to face the mess that was my life, and figure out what it is time to let go of. Somehow, after going through all of these things, and discarding most of it, I feel more like myself than I have in years.
