AT HAME: September 2009
http://athamestephen.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 29 September 2009. The leviathan of the sky does land. In England’s green and pleasant land. Its cargo more precious than gold. The body of a hero, bold. Once the giant’s engines stopped. The cargo ramp is gently dropped. Carried by six on shoulders true. The hero is saluted by the crew. The coffin draped in Union Jack. Is slowly carried out the back. Out of the dark and into light. Slowly down the ramp and to the right. The six approach the hearse all black. And place the hero gently in the back.

AT HAME: Thanking God for National Deliverances.
http://athamestephen.blogspot.com/2010/05/thanking-god-for-national-deliverances.html
Thursday, 27 May 2010. Thanking God for National Deliverances. On Sunday May 26, 1940 King. George VI called for a day of national prayer. In towns and villages across the nation the British people gathered to pray. Then early on May 27, Operation Dynamo was launched and during the next nine days 338,226 soldiers ( 198,229 British and 139,997 French ) were evacuated from Dunkirk. Would a day of prayer be called today? I think not. The words 'political correctness' spring to mind. Shame! Me, Myself, I.

AT HAME: Ulster To America
http://athamestephen.blogspot.com/2010/07/ulster-to-america.html
Friday, 23 July 2010. Ulstermen played a major role during the American War of Independence which lasted from 1775 to 1783. Twenty-five of the American generals were of Ulster Scot descent as was half of the revolutionary army. One famous force of regular soldiers was the Pennsylvania Line and it was composed almost entirely of Ulster Scots and the sons of Ulster Scots. The Ulster immigrants brought with them from the shores of Ulster a love of freedom and in America's hour of crisis they fought to defen...
