Author Archives: Lexie Thomas. October 27, 2014. Felt a bit inspired this afternoon, and sat down to pen this. Enjoy! Whirling, twirling, all along the street. Dainty dance on tippy-toe, ballerina feet. Chameleon-colored masquerade, changing ‘fore our eyes. Mini-painted canvases, drifting through the skies. Seasons come and seasons go, you come but once a year. And grace us with your presence; a smile, a glow of cheer. You beckon, Lean in close, rejoice in my beauty,. June 30, 2014. It leaves us in a.
A Hymn to Share | The Threaded Loom

Blessed Uncertainty →. A Hymn to Share. June 8, 2014. Several weeks ago, I sat in Church and was introduced to a hymn I had never heard before. When you grow up on hymns, it’s not often that you hear new ones on any given Sunday, so when it does happen it’s rather wonderful. It’s called “I asked the Lord” and my friend, Emily, beautifully lead us through the words that I very much needed to hear that day. You can listen to it here, if it’s new to you. I asked the Lord that I might grow. These inward tria...
Settling In | The Threaded Loom

The Weaving Carries On. Holy Discontent →. June 13, 2014. Drip, drop, drip…last bits of water slip from the balcony above and splash onto our rain-soaked patio. The sea fog rolls in dense and palpable, thick as pea soup. It’s like living in a cloud. The boughs of pine outside my window sway ever so gently, to and fro. All is quiet, all is at rest. When the voices hush, and the stillness emerges, do we welcome it? Do we settle in it and tune our ears to hear what beckons? I am more than a little guilty.

Monthly Archives: June 2014. June 30, 2014. Lately, there’s been much swirling going on in my head and my heart. Ending one season, and embarking on another often does that to a person. It leaves us in a. Place, but a place, nonetheless whirling with familiar questions and. All too familiar discontent. Ah yes, dear one… we’ve been here before. Is the purpose of my one life? Mean to fully and abundantly live unto the glory of God,. For such a time as this? 8212;—————–. Surrendered to Him can entail. 1 Cor...

Monthly Archives: December 2013. A Season of Stilling; Thoughts on Advent. December 1, 2013. I just returned from spending a month back in the States with my family. And as the Lord, in His grace, often does, I was able to have some time to reflect and gain clarity on all that the Lord is doing in and through me during this season of life. He gave me moments to step back, and to look at this season with fresh eyes. Did you catch that last part? Enter your email address to follow my blog! Tracking events ...

my journey to jinja.: December 2012

My journey to jinja. Sunday, December 23, 2012. And so i wait. Perfect faith is not faith that moves God. Perfect faith is faith that moves us to trust God when He doesn't seem to be moving." - Andy Stanley. Sunday, December 16, 2012. Giving it all to God. All I can do from here is pray and remind them of words of hope that were written long ago. Dear Lord, let that be enough - at least, for now. Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Prayers for the unspoken. Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Sunday, December 2, 2012.

Just a bit late.). Mae is 6 months old (well, 6 months and two weeks)! That's half a year in case you needed the clarification :). This month's stats from the doc: 14 lbs 11 oz, 25.5 inches long, and continuing to grow right on track! We're thankful for a healthy baby girl. One thing is for certain, this girl is ON.THE.GO. Last month I wrote that she could lift herself up on all fours, and now she can move where she. There is a lot more I could write about, but for now you can enjoy more pictures.
Humphrey Musings: Mighty to Save
http://humphreymusings.blogspot.com/2014/06/mighty-to-save.html
I'm posting this from a favorite blog of mine called girltalk. It's short but sweet, and too good not to share! He is 'mighty to save.' Isaiah 63:1. Believer, here is encouragement. Are you praying for some beloved one? Oh, do not give up praying, for Christ is 'mighty to save.' You are powerless to reclaim the rebel, but your Lord is Almighty.Jesus is 'mighty to save,' the best proof of which lies in the fact that He has saved you.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). If Christ were only a cistern, we might soon exhaust his fullness, but who can drain a fountain. Myriads of spirits have drawn their supplies from him, and not one of them has murmured at the scantiness of his resources.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Practical Theology for Women. Humphrey Musings: Important
http://humphreymusings.blogspot.com/2014/11/important.html
8220;Every day is important for us because it is a day ordained by God. If we are bored with life there is something wrong with our concept of God and His involvement in our daily lives. Even the most dull and tedious days of our lives are ordained by God and ought to be used by us to glorify Him.”. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Practical Theology for Women. my journey to jinja.: May 2012
http://myjourneytojinja.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
My journey to jinja. Thursday, May 31, 2012. A (happy) change in plans. We got an email from Autumn. Yesterday sharing that we will no longer be going to Amazima. During our time in Uganda. I want to challenge my other team members to see this as a blessing! The reason we're not going to Amazima is because they don't need us! Now we can spend the time that was allotted for Amazima to help orphanages who actually DO need us! About us. It is always. About Him and being His servant. Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
Humphrey Musings: New Home, New Adventure, New Memories
http://humphreymusings.blogspot.com/2015/04/new-home-new-adventure-new-memories.html
New Home, New Adventure, New Memories. I decided a great way to break the verrrrrrry long blog hiatus is to announce some exciting news for our family! We are moving.to Indianapolis! Yep, you read that correctly. Luke has accepted a Pastoral Residency position at College Park Church, and we couldn't be more excited about this opportunity! Where our married life started, where Mae was born, where many sweet friends have become like family, where many memories have been made, the list goes on and on and on!

The Threaded Edge | make. do.
The Deep Blue Sea. August 8, 2012. Many months ago, I wrote about making this year the Year of Fun. My Mum reminded me of that the other day. And we both laughed heartily. Winter has been a tough season. Weeks of minor illness in the family, solo-parenting for a week while my husband was away for a conference, the death of my grandmother, then more winter illness. But it hasn’t been fun. I has been overwhelming. That’s life. Making tiny doll’s clothes. Tidying up and finding a mantlepiece. June 30, 2012.
