Skip to main content. 3rd - 4th December 2016. Sunday - Mount Hotham Ascent. The Queen stage of the Tour of Bright. Follow the Great Alpine Road as it winds lazily along the floor of the Ovens Valley into Harrietville. The final 30kms is the ascent of Mount Hotham. A climb that is the equal of many climbs in the French Alps. Once at the finish you will feel on top of the world. Ride begins at the Alpine Cycling Club Rooms, at 7:00am. 2013 Bright Alpine Sporting Events.

The Individual Time Trial is where the rider tests themselves against the clock on an out and back course to Porepunkah. This will be a T shaped course on the Back Porepunkah Rd, and up Roberts Creek Rd. Start at 20 second intervals. Individual start times will be avaliable once start list is finalised.

The two road stages have major climbs in them, so make sure you have done plenty of climbing training in preparation for the event. The event is graded, so choose the grade that best suits your ability. What grade should I ride in? How does the handicapper know which grade to put me in?
