The Training Effect

Friday, August 19, 2011. Ready for Church Creek. Question Mark. These two are ready to go. Cleaned up, polished, clean cassette. Rear: High pressure tubular- dimpled of course; I hear that dimples matter on the outside of the tire. Max psi is 10 bars. Front: 700x20 slick, max pressure is 12 bars- but I think the HED3 is not supposed to have that much pressure. I usually do 145-160 psi in both. I learned a few lessons last year. We'll see if I can apply them. Monday, April 25, 2011. This was the first sta...

The Training Effect: December 2010

http://thetrainingeffect.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 8, 2010. Hello trainer my old friend, I've come to sweat on you again. The sounds of silence. More like the whirring, buzzing, humming of an indoor fluid trainer and fan. This was my Sunday, following a very enjoyable and spirited Saturday. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). GamJams Ambassador NewsRoll - Mid-Atlantic. Hello trainer my old friend, Ive come to sweat on. The Training Effect: May 2010

http://thetrainingeffect.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, May 30, 2010. The Mt. Weather Ride on 3 bottles and 3 bars. Ride data. We covered the, apparently, well-known 55 mile ride in about 3.5 hours. I do not go uphill very well. This fact was overwhelmingly obvious when we hit the base of the main climb about 23 miles into the ride. Quote of the day:. Steve: We know that some of you cannot climb, so the rest of us will wait at the top. Me: Steve, how will I know when I have reached "the top"? Steve: It is where we will all be waiting for you. I was a ...

The Training Effect: April 2010

http://thetrainingeffect.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 1, 2010. 4reps x 10min, every 13 minutes; threshold. I used 30second smoothing on this graph. Yellow line at 300W for reference. After doing 24 reps the day before, today was threshold day. This was outside in awesome weather. I had to do these on the TT bike because I currently don't have a road bike- its being built as we speak. The cranks on both bikes are the same length now so I hope that it doesn't make a difference; I stayed out of the aero position. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Training Effect: Day 5

http://thetrainingeffect.blogspot.com/2011/01/day-5.html

Monday, January 24, 2011. My body was getting locked up, like the tin man with no oil, the running mornings felt awful. So first thing on Day 5 was a 2 mile run on the coast. This was just to get loose so I could spend some quality time stretching. I stretched everything I could think of for more than 30 minutes. It worked, felt good. Over 4 hours, more than 65 miles. Stopped at Subway in the middle. January 24, 2011 at 10:18 PM. January 27, 2011 at 9:46 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Huge mexican food dinner spinach enchiladas. Day 3:early morning 4.5 mile run along beach; 35 mile ride with some efforts in there. Huge mexican food dinner, chicken burrito especial. Day 4: rest . some beers, skipped dinner, eating disorder? January 21, 2011 at 11:31 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
