Travel, Cooking, and Everything In Between. In National Park Tour. The Great American Road Trip. Zion Canyon in a rare sunny moment. We got rained out of one of the most beautiful national parks of the trip. We stayed for five days, and we kept the rainfly on our tent the entire time, despite the fact that we were camping in the desert. Apparently Zion gets 15 inches of rain a year. About 9 of them fell while we were there, and most of that on our last 2 days in the park. Desert Wildflowers on the trail.
