Monday, May 29, 2006. Exploring the Countryside and Small Towns. This country is fabulous. The first weekend we went to the mountains. I wasn’t used to that much walking what with being confined to my room at home. However, it didn’t take me long to get my hiking legs. Cats are known for their agility! The Hungarians are such a fun bunch; exploring in the day, partying at night. What more can a feline ask for (except a cute kitty at the conference I attended)? I must learn to pace myself!

I am terrified of water (except for a cool sip or two) and so cruising on the Danube to the town of Visegrad was not at the top of my list of things to do. Saturday, April 29, 2006. Thought I would put this up for interest's sake. I will officially be living in a Dorm on the "Buda" side (left side of the Danube) and working on the "Pest" side (Right side of the Danube) of Budapest. Every day I will have to cross the Danube (thats the river that runs right through Budapest) . The "Buda" side is known to be of older style and very hilly. It also is the location of the Parliment Buildings in Hungary. Buda" is translated to mean "Hills" and "Pest" to mean river.

Island hopping, in good hands. For BHT1400 per person, which includes snorkeling equipment, lunch, fruits and drinks on board and most importantly a return transfer to the hotel. The average price of this speed boad tour if you book outside hovers around BHT1000 to BHT1500, but I think we've got ourselves pretty good deal.
