Life as a Duck: October 2014

http://trueblueaggies.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

This face of victory. See belong for a long, boring story about Jack's frustrating and ridiculous eating habits. Of all the dang things on the table for him but he held out for HOURS and the later it got, the more grouchy and angry and ornery and horrible he became. I don't think he knows when he is hungry. So at 4:30, I caved and got the one specific type of pizza that he never passes up - a fresh. It is not quite. When you have been given the tremendous gift of being able to have a baby, to give birth ...

Life as a Duck: What's Up Wednesday

http://trueblueaggies.blogspot.com/2015/07/whats-up-wednesday.html

I'm linking up with Shay. The last Wednesday of the month again for What's Up Wednesday! What we're eating this week:. Quinoa and black beans. Slow cooker massaman curry. Slow cooker creamy ranch porkchops. What I'm reminiscing about:. David got a mosquito bite on his left eye this week and it had me reminiscing about the mosquito bite he had just two weeks ago on his right eye! This boy can't catch a break! Any suggestions for prevention/remedies? Rant over ;). What we've been up to. What I'm working on:.

New Orleans Round 2. Last spring break while we lived in Alabama, we visited New Orleans since we were so close and I loved it so much more than I ever thought I would! Post on that trip here. My mom and Elizabeth drove Thursday, Friday and Saturday to get there, we drove all day Saturday, my dad and Isaac flew in on Sunday, we drove home through the night on Monday and got home Tuesday, my dad flew home Tuesday to get back to work, and my mom and Isaac and Elizabeth drove two days straight and are just ...

Today, I'm linking up with my friends who don't know me aka my stalkees for What's Up Wednesday! What we're eating this week:. Sweet and sour chicken. Pork Chops with Apples. Breakfast for dinner ( these are the best pancakes ever! We are also eating way too many of these chocolate chip cookies. I thought I had found the best chocolate chip cookie recipe in the world ( here. But I think my cousin's recipe that my mom made while I was visiting during Christmas takes the cake! Life as a Duck: Things I'm Loving

http://trueblueaggies.blogspot.com/2015/08/things-im-loving.html

My brother, James, is engaged! We love Maddie and we are soooo excited for them! And we are excited that we get to go to Utah for the wedding and the holidays! The Mississippi Valley Fair - well, we kind of loved it, kind of didn't ;). Since state fairs are such a big deal in the Midwest, we decided we needed to try it out at least once. I think once is enough for me :) For some reason a lot of the pictures I took at the fair got deleted from my phone :(. Is in your area - Jack and David each get a book ...

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair. (A Tale of Two Cities). I am grateful for Birmingham's beauty and it's equally divided four seasons. I am grateful for the. I love Birmingham and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Now on to the Iowa chapter.

25 meals at Aldi for $150. Saving money was the only thing that motivated me to try this because I hate cooking with a passion. I bought her $2 meal plan that included the detailed recipes, a printable menu planner, and a shopping list. It made everything so organized and easy! I'm all about having someone tell me every day what to pull out of my fridge and pantry (and to actually have it on hand! And Roasted Red Pepper Chicken. And Spencer's favorites were the Kielbasa Sausage and Red Pepper Pasta.

Life as a Duck: December 2014

http://trueblueaggies.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

The thing I'm not loving. My 7 1/2 year computer gave up the ghost yesterday afternoon. I really can't complain, because 7 1/2 years of essentially no computer problems is pretty impressive for a computer. Also, I miraculously backed up the computer two days before it died. RIP 2007 macbook. Blog therapy will have to start up again once we get a new computer :). My father-in-law came to visit us! The tool set that grandpa gave Jack for his birthday. Jack AND David love it! This AMEN. #imsotired. We had a...

Life as a Duck: March 2015

http://trueblueaggies.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Our groundhog that lives under our house. Actually I don't like him and I think he's pretty gross but Jack loves him! When I found our groundhog hanging out on our front porch, I knew it was finally spring in Iowa, or at least on most days :). Our landlord put the trap back out and Jack spends a lot of time waiting and watching for it to get trapped. We will see what happens this time around but for now, we are just enjoying playing outside - we couldn't do that in our top story apartment in Alabama!

Anecdotes of my life and my travels…. A Visit to Stone Henge…. October 11, 2014. I’m lucky I have friends in England and they took us to this place. It did not rain at the time of our visit and it was a very lovely day because the sun was out for about two hours! Yes, the weather in England is really erratic and I guess not only during winter. So, savor whatever sun you’ll get and hurry with the picture taking before the clouds go dark and rain starts falling. Ha! September 28, 2014. October 1, 2014.
