Getting your family and community to help you raise funds and emotionally support your family member is not easy, but here are some tips that we’ve learned from Linda and many of the families that we support:. 2 Fundraising for financial help is better when you set a goal. There is so much conversation around “Pink washing”, particularly during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, that we decided to address it. We have had our own share of criticism for the “pink” tutu (story behind the original tutu image below). Our view? Pink is the color tied to breast cancer, and every cancer has their own awareness color.
