A personal view of landscape and wildlife. Hello, I'm Nigel Grist a biologist by training and sometime programmer. I've been taking photographs for 40 years and am interested in natural history and landscape in the broadest (and sometimes quirky) sense. More recently I have started printmaking including linocuts and etchings. Some of my recent images are in the 'Prints' gallery on this site. All images and content 2015 Nigel Grist.

These are run in various areas on Dartmoor. Navigation: I aim to provide a sound basis in compass-work and map-reading to boost your confidence on exploring the moor. Photography: Move beyond the 'Auto' setting and get the most from your DSLR. Bespoke courses (full or part-days) can be arranged as required.
