March 26, 2010. 6 tablespoons walnut oil. 1/2 cup dark brown sugar (packed). 1/2 teaspoon coarse kosher salt. 5-6 cups old-fashioned oats. 1 1/2 cups walnut pieces. 3/4 cup flaxseed meal. Plus 1-2 of the following:. 1 cup pitted dates, coarsely chopped. 1 cup dried cranberries. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Brush 2 heavy large rimmed baking sheets with 1 tbsp of walnut oil each. Whisk 4 tbsps oil, brown sugar, egg whites, and salt in large bowl. Add oats, walnuts, and flaxseed; toss well.
