Faith and the Fam: August 2014
http://faithandfam.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 29, 2014. Today we hit Riverside Park in Lynchburg. A place I have driven and walked by countless times since I started working in Lynchburg in 2005, but having never actually entered the park, I had no clue what hidden treasures lay inside. Until now. Of course the boys were immediately drawn to the playground, so we burned off some energy there. Then after a perfect picnic dinner under the trees, we hit the trail. A Virginia Civil War trail, no less. Who knew? Aden was just slack-jawed.

Faith and the Fam: November 2014
http://faithandfam.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 20, 2014. There are some very poor quality, but very precious photos that have been taken with my phone(s) over the last half-year-ish. Don't want to let these memories slip away. My sweet Aden, snoozing away. Aden's preschool class praying at their end-of-year party. Yep, he's a snoozer. Summer downtime in the blazing heat. They're sweet when they're like this. A rare trip to the bouncy house, likely a reward for someone being good at the dentist or doctor. Practicing at the putting g...

Faith and the Fam: October 2014
http://faithandfam.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2014. My least favorite holiday does. Have a few redeeming qualities. Two in particular. Trey had decided on being a baseball player well over a month in advance, and in order to be able to wear his costume to school, completed an accelerated reader quiz on a baseball book. Pleasing Mama with the grades and Daddy with the looks! It was a good day. I was able to go to Aden's party at his preschool, and took a few pictures there. Aden's friend Noah had the exact same costume on! Next st...

Faith and the Fam: July 2014
http://faithandfam.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 17, 2014. Critters, poop, and a spoiled girl. We are no strangers to unwelcome critters around here. One of the perils of living in the country, I suppose. The lizard in the house. Was entertaining. The snake in the house. Was absolutely terrifying. Once the terror wore off though, it was stinkin hilarious. And now may I present our most recent critter story. One that at least starts out as hilarious. Anyhow, I was asleep on the couch, where I more often than not crash when the. I heard th...

Faith and the Fam: Dear Aden
http://faithandfam.blogspot.com/2015/08/dear-aden.html
Sunday, August 16, 2015. It's here. You've been counting down the days, probably since you watched your brother walk into his first day of school three years ago. In the morning you will strap on a backpack (assuming you can calm down long enough to do so) and walk boldly into your future as a certified, grown-up Kindergartener. Oh, my sweet baby. How on God's green earth. Did we get here so fast? That joy and freedom and love? It still takes my breath away every time I look at you. Well, maybe not every.

Faith and the Fam: June 2014
http://faithandfam.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 30, 2014. Aden has had a busy few months, having opted to play rec sports for the first time ever. He played on a preschool-age team that did a tee ball/wiffle ball combo. Of course Aden insisted that it always be called baseball. And so it was. Practices were fun and fairly structured for preschool kids. Unless a train rode by or an airplane flew overhead. Or, you know, when ten minutes into practice a few of them decided it would be more interesting to pull up clumps of grass. Meemaw. ...

Faith and the Fam: September 2014
http://faithandfam.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 25, 2014. Oh, the plans were big. Very local, very inexpensive, and something we've never done before, Poppop and I conspired to take the boys riding on his boat. We'd swim, see the sights, pack a dinner, and maybe even find an island to picnic on. A perfect outing for Exploration Season week 2. And the boys were pumped. Aden especially, who for whatever reason decided he might not really be afraid of the boat if we got to explore an island. The conversation:. Sporks and shiny monkeys!

A Day With The Stevens: April 2011
http://adaywiththestevens.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 30, 2011. Monday, April 11, 2011. Wednesday, April 6, 2011. Just when you think things can't get any worse, they do. I've learned that life is like an hourglass. Sooner or later, everything hits rock bottom. All you have to do is be patient and wait for someone to turn everything back around. Sunday, April 3, 2011. Wake Forest Police Carnival. Gavin loves to ride on carnival rides. Big surprise huh? Aye Aye Aye. it starts so young! Saturday, April 2, 2011. My kids love to dress up.

A Day With The Stevens: MISSIONFX
http://adaywiththestevens.blogspot.com/2013/10/missionfx.html
Tuesday, October 8, 2013. I know it's been a while. I'm way behind in the things I wanted to post on the blog so I definitely have some catching up to do. We've been super busy lately. Fall is just a busy time of year for us! I also just started my last class before student teaching and with all the drama that I've had to deal with lately I've pretty much been consumed with Mount Olive stuff lately. We had a BLAST and so did everyone else who came! Here are a few pictures. Matt is the shop foreman for a ...

Faith and the Fam: Entertainment
http://faithandfam.blogspot.com/2015/07/entertainment.html
Thursday, July 23, 2015. Squeezing the life out of summer, we are. Thank the Lord for my phone, helping me to document how we have spent our time. And thanks also for limited storage space on said phone, for at this moment it has yet again locked me out of taking any more photos. Ugh. Which brings me here, sharing with you our adventures in sweat, goofiness, and togetherness-joy. So I can clean off my phone. And remember forever this crazy summer. Trey's friend Spencer turned 8 just a week before Trey di...
