The view from here - Mongolia 2011: My last day at BEH Credit Union

http://theviewfromhere-mongolia2011.blogspot.com/2011/08/my-last-day-at-beh-credit-union.html

Thursday, August 18, 2011. My last day at BEH Credit Union. Morning came early, once again, but today has extra activity at the ger camp. Most of the "residents" are departing for other areas of Mongolia continuing their vacations and explorations. They come from all over the world but primarily Britain, Germany, France and one lone young lady from Washington state, USA. They each have their own story as to why they chose Mongolia and none had pre-conceived notions of grandeur. Mid afternoon we all toure...

The view from here. My blog about me, my life, country living and healthy, green, organic cooking and food. May contain excerpts about my grandchildren and/or furbabies! Thursday, May 13, 2010. Such a busy time of year. It has always been my favorite time of year! Winter is over, green is showing, things are growing! I was able to get lettuce, arugula, radishes, onions, carrots and lots more peas in. I am now ready to plant my potatoes and get the rest of the garden ready for other veggies. My great gran...

Friday, September 25, 2015. A Few Thoughts On The Niqab, The Canadian Election, and Our Rights As Canadians. I and a majority of other Muslims don't agree with that last interpretation. However, it is not up to me (or anyone else for that matter) to tell someone else how to practice their faith as long as that practice does not infringe on my protected rights or the rights of other Canadians as outlined in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Why I intend to wear a niqab at my citizenship ceremony.

Saturday, June 12, 2010. We've come a long way, baby. I've been working on those prints with filters and half tones some more and I'm really happy with the progress. I especially like the first image, I think it freshens up the collection and would work well with swimwear. I'd like to turn the bottom one into some kind of laser print. Thursday, June 10, 2010. Racer One Piece = taking shape. After many pattern-making issues I have finally - almost settled on Look One (Racer One Piece). Friday, June 4, 2010.

The View From Here

The View From Here. Tuesday, September 25, 2012. I'm getting a Harley! Well, it's been in the making for quite a while now (over a year, I think) but it's now official: I am getting a 2005 Harley Davidson 883 Sportster! However, the bike is in Wyoming. The hard part has been trying to figure out a way to bring it home in Colorado. For over a year we have made a few plans, tried to schedule things, but they never seemed to work out. But now I am old enough just to ride it down on my own! Last week I worke...
