A Writers Block: January 2011
http://ketchumsblock.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 14, 2011. The Study of God through Angry Birds. Angry Birds - 1st golden egg. My Sweetie and I were talking about how each one of us has our own sphere of influence and how interesting relationships can be because of that. Leave it to me to find an interesting correlation between this deep topic and a fun app called Angry Birds. There is one level in particular that struck me as the most appropriate. It's the first level of the golden eggs. What do you think? What kind of ball are you?

Saturday, September 04, 2010. So I wonder. do I really need to take life so seriously? I mean, each day comes and goes, being a new and beautiful miracle each time but somehow I seem to miss that part of it. Today I woke up early after hardly being able to fall asleep and looked out my window. I just had to smile. The sun had just hit the tops of our trees and the first couple birds just started singing. It was such a beautiful thing. Thanks, God, for taking me to see the sunrise. You're pretty cool.

Tuesday, January 05, 2010. The Freedom of Glorifying God. John 18:9 "I have not lost one of those you gave me.". Think about it. we may go through great trials but, if God wants us alive for his purpose, nothing will conquer us. Regardless of what I may face in speaking or acting upon God's truth, my life or death is in His hands and EITHER can be used for his glory! Glory unstoppable or glory unforgettable. Woohooo! A Writers Block: Inspired By Beauty
http://ketchumsblock.blogspot.com/2013/01/inspired-by-beauty_10.html
Thursday, January 10, 2013. Today's quiet time reading was the ever UN-popular "Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands." but God took me to a new place with this today (I love it when He does that). So humor me. The verse says, ". in the same way." not just, "wives. be submissive to your husbands." I had to read the previous passage again in order to get the context! It says it right there in 1 Peter! The unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. is of great worth in God's sight...
A Writers Block: February 2012
http://ketchumsblock.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 29, 2012. God Fought For Me. There were perfect times cleared away for study time, too. In these two days I had time alone, a quiet house, or just a space I'd carved out for myself. Each time I thought to sit and study I was dragged away or down. Today, little things got in my way, pulled me away. A cloud of doubt whispered, "Why sit and study? God wanted to encourage me. Wow did God engineer these words to speak directly to my heart today and for millions of others at other times?
A Writers Block: October 2012

Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Four Hands On The Wheel. The passage I read the other day is one of my most favorites and most impactful in my life. 2 Corinthians 12:1-10 is well known for it's "My grace is sufficient" part but there is so much more there. Think of it this way. I'm driving my car in the direction God wants. I'm willing to go wherever He directs but with my. Hands on the wheel it is more difficult for Him to make sudden swerves or take minor tangents along the way. Four hands on the steeri...

Thursday, December 29, 2011. Job had it all. He had the family, the wealth, the life everyone dreamed of. He had everything that the people of his day considered a life blessed by God because of his righteous living. He had lived perfectly for God. Job had everything. For many people, life is about success, achievement, having the prettiest car, having the nicest house, being the best mom, being the best wife, being the best housekeeper… blah blah blah! 8220;But as for me I know that my Redeemer liveth,.
A Writers Block: Passing The Test
http://ketchumsblock.blogspot.com/2013/04/passing-test.html
Tuesday, April 09, 2013. If you don't pass the test, God'll give it to you again, ya know.". Words of the very wise Clinton, our neighbor. They were said in passing to Scott one day in a conversation while walking the easement. Nothing big to Clinton, I'm sure, but they have stuck with me for all this time. While having some quiet time today I read a like passage. ". A man is a slave to whatever has mastered him." 2 Peter 2:19. What controls my actions? What do I obsess over most? The "Next Chapter" starts on Sep 7. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. The Next Chapter, a Group Reading Adventure. A few years ago, I was challenged and moved by the idea of "Biblical Theology". I came across Graeme Goldsworthy's " According to Plan. It's a great look at Biblical The...
