The View from my Window

The View from my Window. Sunday, February 13, 2011. It is amazing how I skip from one time to another and have little accomplishment to show for it. I love to blog and journal but an so bad at keeping it up. Another attempt for the not so new year. The PA kids are coming here next week for fun in the snow - also going skiing. It seems a little funny since they have had quite a bit of snow themselves this year. Somehow I feel we have little of interest to offer them. Friday, August 27, 2010. It has been a...

The View from my Window: 23 July 2010

http://theviewfromthesixthfloor.blogspot.com/2010/07/23-july-2010.html

The View from my Window. Friday, July 23, 2010. It has been a busy summer what with travels, surgery and more travels. I am happy that we are at a point when at least I will be home for a while. Jeff will be away quite a bit for work in the next weeks, but that is another issue. The trips have been fun and interesting. The surgery was a nightmare, but I prefer not to dwell on that. I am getting better each day and plan to be very healthy for a long time. A little down time is good.

http://theviewfromthesixthfloor.blogspot.com/2010/08/27august-2010.html

The View from my Window. Friday, August 27, 2010. Blog, Blog, Blog. So I haven't been writing my blog much this summer, but summer is ending and life is resuming so maybe the mental activity needs to speed up too. Tomorrow is my middle son's 37th birthday. He will be celebrating on the Jersey shore with his family. I am hoping they have a wonderful time at the beach, wish I could be there too. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The View from my Window: June 2010

http://theviewfromthesixthfloor.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

The View from my Window. Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Life as an ex-pat is interesting and puzzling at the same time. As an American living in Canada, specifically in Montreal which is European Canada, I would expect to feel out of place and seemingly a little off. However, just the opposite is true. I wasn't happy with where we were. I wasn't happy with the way life was lived in that area. In a small town in middle-America, I was an outsider, never to be worthy. Can any of us hope for more? It has been nea...

The View from my Window: April 2010

http://theviewfromthesixthfloor.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

The View from my Window. Monday, April 26, 2010. Monday morning lists. To do. Got to check some things off. Well I have. I did my minutes and got them sent off, I think they are right, if not, someone will tell me. I called to schedule the appointment with my replacement as secretary of the club, and left a voice mail. I have an eye appointment, my biggest accomplished for sure. Now I just have laundry and vacuuming to do. Maybe it is because Jeff would come home from work and ask what did you do today?

The View From the Shelf

The View From the Shelf. Chronicling All Things Doll. Thursday, July 15, 2010. Barbies, Barbies, Barbies (In Particular, Their Faces). So, lately, I've been trying to familiarize myself with the different Barbie head molds, or face sculpts. Why? I don't know, I guess there's just a tiny part of me that wants to become a sort of amateur expert on them, like, you know, actually. The title of doll collector. Stupid? Maybe But it doesn't change the fact that I want to do it. To be it for a while. I. So those...

The View From the Skyline

The View From the Skyline. Rebecca Wilks; Photographer, Teacher, Yarnellian, Do-Gooder. After the Yarnell Hill Fire; the First Eight Days. Saturday, August 15, 2015. Pastel Sunrise, Crazy Jug Point, North Rim Grand Canyon. Beth turned right down the soggy forest road, headed home after we’d been traveling together for a couple of days. I turned left, toward one of my favorite remote places to enjoy the Grand Canyon. Before too long the downpour started. This trip had a numinous veil from the start. Came ...
