The Messina Family: Lucca’s Two Year Stats
http://messfam.blogspot.com/2015/08/luccas-two-year-stats.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. Lucca’s Two Year Stats. Our little Lucca is growing slowly but surely. Dr Zorian was happy with all of his progress and though his weight is low (which is not unusual for him) she says to keep doing what we are doing. Weight: 22 pounds 14.4 ounces- 3rd percentile (he did gain 4 pounds since his 18 month check up, which I consider amazing! Height: 33.5 inches- 34th percentile (same as 18 months). Head Circumference: 19.09 inces- 45th percentile (so he must be smart;).

The Messina Family: A Trip Back to the Midwest
http://messfam.blogspot.com/2015/08/a-trip-back-to-midwest.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. A Trip Back to the Midwest. Last week we returned from a three week trip to Illinois. We enjoyed visiting with family, friends, and enjoying the tastes of home! So, let's recap (and hope I don't forget anything:)! Of course as soon as we got off the plane, we went straight o Portillos for some beef, hot dogs, and cheese fries! Anthony also reunited with his best buddy Liam (it was adorable watching them run to each other in the restaurant). After the holiday weekend, Tony had to ...

Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Cihak and Messina Family Fun. On Sunday night, the Cihak family came over for dinner. CC was in a great mood and followed Anthony around wherever he went (he really liked the attention). It was so fun to see the kiddos interact with each other (definitely bittersweet). We enjoyed the company and discussing the future little Cihak man's new nursery and catching up about everything. There were Cozy Coupe rides. An interesting photo shoot (as always with these three). As my dad lo...

The Messina Family: Butano State Park Camping Trip
http://messfam.blogspot.com/2015/08/butano-state-park-camping-trip.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. Butano State Park Camping Trip. I am pretty sure the decision to take the boys camping on my own could have been the WORST decision I have made in a long time, but I am very grateful that it turned out to be a wonderful decision. We travelled to Butano State Park (which is just outside of Pescadaro, CA which is on the coast) with two other Moms and their kiddos. Besides a 1:00 AM bathroom run (which I needed too), everything was perfect! We have two capable campers on our hands!

The Messina Family: MOPS Dinosaur Play Dates
http://messfam.blogspot.com/2015/08/mops-dinosaur-play-dates.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. MOPS Dinosaur Play Dates. In the Mom’s group (MOPS) I am in, one of the mom’s had a great idea to keep us all busy this summer. Every mom took a week and planned a few fun activities and adventures for the other families. It was a great way to pass the time, keep the kiddos engaged, and it was a lot cheaper than signing the boys up for a bunch of classes! The week after we returned from our trip to Illinois was my week to host. It worked out perfectly. For the last play date, we ...

The Messina Family: March 2015
http://messfam.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 26, 2015. Are you sick of our yard yet? Let me preface this post by saying.apparently I did NOT take the before pictures that I thought I did. I was back out in the yard today, and tonight Tony joined me after he got home from work. We came up with a plan earlier today to rip out the circle of thorn bushes and reseed our grassy(ish) area. We weeded and tilled all of the parts along the fence as well. We are pretty pumped about how it turned out. Tuesday, March 24, 2015. We went to Happy H...

Monday, February 17, 2014. Our Valentine's Day was just another day with some extra LOVE thrown in :) Grace was excited to wake up to some little surprises and she was eager to go to Rosa's and celebrate with her friends. Earlier in the week Grace and I made some treats to bring to Rosa's house. If you look, you can see an excess amount of medicine in the background. We have been one sick household this past week and a half! We are definitely looking forward to spring for more reasons than one.

The Messina Family: Tony’s Solo Adventures
http://messfam.blogspot.com/2015/08/tonys-solo-adventures.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. Tony’s Solo Adventures. While the boys and I were in Illinois, Tony used his time to work (of course) but also to catch up on many projects around the house, including yard maintenance and hanging a few more items in the kitchen (thank you). He also organized our garage…again! We really miss our basement storage rooms. He also completed a few fun hikes in Big Basin State Park and Santa Cruz. This is a banana slug (which are everywhere on the trails. A Kindergartner in the House!
