Short observations on watchdesign. Thursday, 24 December 2009. Because there is internet, I am quite up to date concerning new models from watchbrands I like. And because watch yearbooks usually come out more than 6 months after Basel en Geneve, there are no real surprises when reading these books after the first release. The Longines WWW is one of the few interesting models which I didn’t notice before, when looking through the pages of the “”Armband Uhren Katalog 2010””. Datejust I and II.

Short observations on watchdesign. Monday, 28 December 2009. Datejust I and II. I think the old Date Just is one of the best looking watches there is: A real archetype of modern watches. I already thought that the 16200 was better looking than the 116200 because of the sharper lines of the case en bezel. Now there is the new DJ II. I've never had the DateJust II on my wrist yet, but I've seen it a view times in the shopwindows. Just for fun I've made this comparison picture. Just my opinion of course :-).

Short observations on watchdesign. Thursday, 24 December 2009. I am a big fan of Panerai watches, especially the ones from the 40’s and 50’s. The design of the dials are iconic. Reason for this is the combination of simplicity and the perfect proportion of the dial lay-out (well, at least in my opinion).
