In a beautiful valley full of bird song and rolling hills, there is a house with a blue door nestled on a hillside. In this sweet place to be Sarah Middleton draws inspiration for 'The Way to Blue'. As an artist I have always been drawn to the colour blue and its associations with nature and the infinite. I have also strived to capture light in my work so upon discovering the cyanotype technique I was hooked by its many possibilities.

Packing my housemate’s flat before the big move! It was really exhausting but we had lots of boundless energy. By this point I really didn’t want to unpack but I always do it pretty quickly.
