The Problem of Autumn. August 17, 2008. I have twenty-one summers. Soon to be twenty-one years. And I am so sick of goodbyes that I could go scream into a pillow for an hour and a half and it would not do any good. It’s as though I’m looking backwards through it, but the glass obscures both ways. I take it almost as given that the end does not justify the means. But do the means justify the end?
