The View From Camp Kreitzer: Honey Harvest. Yum! Yum!

The View From Camp Kreitzer. Where Grandkids Come to Play. Sunday, July 26, 2015. Honey Harvest. Yum! We checked the hives about ten days ago to see what we would have for the honey harvest. We counted twenty frames of good capped honey, but when we went to collect the frames on Friday (July24) for the harvest on Saturday, some of the frames were not 90% capped and the bees had eaten some. (I guess they're entitled! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our Cross Country Trip. A Bee Keeper's Diary.

The View From Camp Kreitzer: Fun at the Pittsburgh Zoo!
http://maryannkreitzer.blogspot.com/2015/06/fun-at-philadelphia-zoo.html
The View From Camp Kreitzer. Where Grandkids Come to Play. Friday, June 12, 2015. Fun at the Pittsburgh Zoo! We just returned from a short visit to Zelienople, PA where one of our daughters lives. (Don't you love that name? Zelienople is near Mars and Cranberry. And Mars actually has a flying saucer in the middle of town. But the best part of the day was the company. What a delightful group of little girls (and their mom). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our Cross Country Trip. A Bee Keeper's Diary.

The View From Camp Kreitzer. Where Grandkids Come to Play. Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Cousins' Camp Part II. Getting ready for wading in the river. If you can't skip a rock, the next best thing is. Now that rock ought to really make a geyser! Next destination is around the corner: The Scary Bridge! Anya was afraid going across and was happy to get to the stairs on the other side. A quick walk up and down and then back across the bridge. We met some critters on our outing. A butterfly adopted Larry. Last sto...

The View From Camp Kreitzer: August 2014
http://maryannkreitzer.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
The View From Camp Kreitzer. Where Grandkids Come to Play. Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Who'd have thought it. With plenty of rain this spring we thought this would be a great honey-producing season. But something went wrong and many local beekeepers got little or no honey at all. That's us. Every time we checked to see if we had frames of 90% capped honey - no dice! We blamed the poor bees, but since many beekeepers are in the same boat, it had to be something else. Tuesday, August 5, 2014. A visit to th...

The View From Camp Kreitzer. Where Grandkids Come to Play. Monday, June 29, 2015. A Camp Out at Colonial Beach. Last weekend was our square dance camp out held at Harbor View Campground in Colonial Beach, VA. Last time we were in Colonial Beach the only thing we did was go to nearby Ingleside Vineyard. This time we went down a day early to see the sights. What a great place with so much to do. We only scratched the surface. This is NOT the original home which was destroyed in a fire. This was a more.

One thing I bear away with me tonight — And that is My White Plume. Monday, August 11, 2008. Chess Player — Life Member of the USCF.
