Tuesday, 21 June 2011. Last week I got a phone call out of the blue. We arranged to met by a notice board a 7pm. Half an hour later I found myself the excited owner of an allotment plot, for the princely sum of £4 per annum! Luckily the allotment is run by a trust, not the council.
