Saturday, August 18, 2012. Shop till you Drop. Today our mama told us that we needed to go down to centro because all of the streets were closed to traffic and were lined with shops instead. So, Caitlin and I headed down there to check it out. I'm so glad we went! Little Mexican dolls in their traditional clothing. We met this guy that plays for the Atlas. must be legit if it's on a Mexican foosball table! We love walking around together and talking to new people. it's all about the gringa smile ;).

Friday, August 17, 2012. Today for our excursion we went to Campeche! Campeche is the state west of Yucatan and north of Guatemala. It was our first time out of the state so we were excited! The bus ride was about three and a half hours so I finished all my homework for the week and bonded with Ryan haha. I live in Yucatan in Merida but today we headed over to Campeche! The first place we went to was this big fort that they used to use to fight off pirates! Entrance to the fort. Total count in tower = 19.

Monday, August 20, 2012. Today was an amazing Sunday. It was fast Sunday and so we went to church for fast and testimony meeting. The second week we were here it was a fast Sunday too and I remember that a few of my friends shared their testimonies and I was so amazed and never thought that I would ever be able to do that! Tuesday, May 29, 2012. I've been pretty cultured during the past week. We only ever hear it broadcast on the loudspeakers. They both had excellent voices. Also, they have the whole Qur'an memorized. which is quite impressive. After that, we had dinner in the "Arab" Oasis. This was delish!
