Out there, in the wide, open air. Thursday, May 10, 2012. Penn was extremely dehydrated and his bilirubin had increased - they drew labs and started IV fluids. They had to poke him 5 times to get labs/place an IV before finally getting it in his scalp (his cute little head of hair! I finally understood the trauma of being on the other side of a medical situation (a mom now, not a nurse) - it sucked! We left the hospital on Tuesday (April 10) - for the second time.
