Sofia and I went to a WIG store, #7. I tried on a bunch of wigs. Hmmm…I wonder which one we should get for Grandma. Grandma’s cabbage soup, #6. IT was NOT good! Grandma Ursula was very happy to see us. Here is a picture of her. Grandma WAS wearing pink lipstick but I can’t find my pink crayon right now. I bet Sofia took it! I counted 231 blue cars and 49 red cars on the road while riding to Grandma’s house. It was hard to keep track and it didn’t help that Sofia was whining the WHOLE time! So NOW you know.

Book signing and other great stuff. I will be signing (and selling) THE WIG books at the fabulous Fischer Farm’s Artists and Authors Fair. Sunday, September 13th, 10-3 pm. There will be live music, food, kid-friendly activities, and lots of arts and crafts to enjoy. Fischer Farm is located at 16W680 Grand Avenue in Bensenville, IL. In celebration of Valentine’s Day and because the ebook cover is red, THE WIG: Happy Holidays (book 3), will be on sale from Feb. 14th through Feb. 18th. So hurry (and enjoy)!

I was born in the Czech Republic (Czechoslovakia, as it was called in the “olden days”). My grandma lived with us and she DID wear a wig! It looked just like the brown, football-helmet-shaped wig I drew on the covers of my books. (I thought of using my grandma’s actual wig for my book covers but that looked WAY too creepy! I was VERY intrigued by my grandma’s wig when I was a kid because I didn’t know anyone else who wore a wig back then. BTW, he snores too but he’s not as bad as our bulldog.
