Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Our family. One windy afternoon. Captured by our sweet friend and photographer, Sarah. Saturday, January 4, 2014. I *blinked*.and Fall came and went. What a fun fall we had! It was comprised of a few big events, and lots of fun everyday things. Here are our highlights:. Uncle Eddie married sweet Nellie! Though their wedding day was one of the rainiest days I've ever seen, it didn't distract from a beautiful wedding. I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye in the church! William started ...

Son and Daughters: December 2012
http://northwoodssonanddaughters.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 29, 2012. Christmas landing on a Tuesday this year allowed our Christmas celebrations to be spread out over a few days. This makes for more rested children and happier parents! Our first celebration was The Arola Christmas. My mother-in-law is one of six children, so it's a big family! Uncle John and Aunt Kathy hosted it this year in Duluth. There was a great turnout, including the three babies that were born in the past year. So fun to see them all together! Larry, Ashley, and Barb...

Son and Daughters: July 2013
http://northwoodssonanddaughters.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Our dear friends, the Witciks, recently came for their traditional mid-summer visit. We finally have named this event.CAMP SKAUDIS! Camp Skaudis has a little something for everyone: abundant woods to roam or ride the 4-wheeler; a quiet lake to swim, fish, or tube; comfortable couches and quiet (hahaha) to take an afternoon nap; lots of people around to keep you company; and there's always something good to eat. Audrey, Ellie, and Nora loved dancing with E's umbrellas. 5 of our 6...

Saturday, April 12, 2014. We have lots of fun in our house. It's safe to say that there is never a dull moment! I hope the kids can look back on their childhoods and smile and laugh. Here's just a peek at what we've been up to. Martha is a HUGE part of our life. She's sweet and patient and always up for a hug. We've been working on chores and helping out around the house, now that the kids are getting older. Martha says, "I surrender to this crazy family! Love Love. Love. Nora and William with their perch.

Tuesday, October 28, 2014. We are in the thick of the school year, almost 2 months in, and it seems like summer was a lifetime ago. What a glorious summer we had! Here is a sampler of how we kept busy- -. Fishing.lots and lots of fishing. This is one of my favorite pictures of summer. Audrey reels in the fish with her lucky pink rod, and William takes care of the rest. Nora loves all fish, from the bait to the walleye! Cheetos and fishing, a perfect afternoon for Nora. And I won the Guppy Award! The wate...

Saturday, May 17, 2014. A cold snap right after Christmas put us in a vacation planning mood. The warmest place in the US in March is Key West, so we decided on a trip to the Florida Keys. The kids love to fly! After a quick flight to Orlando, we picked up our minivan (the kids are pretty fond of minivans! And we made the drive down to Key Largo, our first destination. After a long winter, the green grass and lush trees were a welcome and glorious sight. Are you feeling the love in this picture? This pic...

Son and Daughters: March 2013

Monday, March 18, 2013. Nora turned 3 last week! In many ways, she seems beyond her years. She speaks clearly and conveys her thoughts well. She is very coordinated. She has an incredible memory. But she is just 3, and I am going to do my best to keep her little for as long as I can! We had a William/Nora family birthday party in the beginning of March. It was such fun to be with our families to celebrate the birthdays of our Winter Babies! Make a wish, Nora! Lighting up William's Lego cake! We (haha....

Friday, April 19, 2013. It's been an exciting week for our Audrey. She came downstairs early one morning and announced that she could whistle.and she could! William has attempting to whistle for awhile, and Audrey must have been paying attention. Audrey is so happy that she can create such a pretty (and loud) sound from her lips. It's also exciting to be the first kid in the family to whistle! She even got to show off her new skill to her preschool class! It's hard to whistle when you are giggling. Aren'...

Son and Daughters: Island Bound
http://northwoodssonanddaughters.blogspot.com/2014/10/island-bound.html
Monday, October 27, 2014. We spent a long weekend in Mackinac Island, Michigan this summer. The Husband had a conference and the kids and I tagged along. It was our first time on the island.and it surpassed our expectations. It is so quaint! The kids are still talking about our time on "MAC," and can't wait to go back! We took a ferry from the mainland to the island. Here are the kids waiting for our ride. My sweet Audrey on the ferry. She loved the ride! A quick stop for a selfie and a water break.
