ShutterRunner My Favorites

HDR Photography by Matty Wolin. These are some of my personal favorites. Sunrise through the Iceberg. February 18, 2014. This image was actually quite challenging to produce. Since I was shooting straight into the sun, I had to blend together multiple exposures to minimize over-exposed highlights and under-exposed shadows. While it didn't come out perfectly I think what I made out of this shot is pretty cool. This is Iceland's famous Ice Beach. Order a limited edition print of this photo. June 19, 2013.

Science Sunday: Dinosaurs are (and were) Real | The Sleeping Owl

About The Sleeping Owl. Wake The Sleeping Owl. Science Sunday: Dinosaurs are (and were) Real. August 22, 2010. I’ve had a pretty fun summer. Early in the summer, I met a man who believed that most everything in science is a conspiracy against his religion. I invited him to come to one museum so that he could see them for himself. He wasn’t interested. I highly recommend it. Posted by L. Jerome. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:.

About The Sleeping Owl. Wake The Sleeping Owl. July 15, 2010. Just posting a few pics I shot at Navy Pier on July 3rd. Big-time busy week, so I can’t stay for long. I’ve scheduled a few posts for later in the week, as well. Oh, and the blurred white streaks in some of the photos are Sea Gulls flying around in the light of Navy Pier. I thought they made some pretty cool looking patterns. Posted by L. Jerome. Independence and Arcadia Streets Series Part 9. July 10, 2010. Posted by L. Jerome. July 8, 2010.

After a Month | The Sleeping Owl
https://sleepingowl.wordpress.com/2010/08/20/after-a-month
About The Sleeping Owl. Wake The Sleeping Owl. August 20, 2010. Well that was a long month. Upgraded awesomely in the last month and allows much larger photos. I’ve been looking around for a personal site that allows bigger images than I have here, but I’m still hoping someone can point me to a great and relatively cheap choice. Anyway, I have so many shots jumbling up my computer that I can get back on the horse and upload more often. He went to town. And now, he is on a diet. Posted by L. Jerome.

About The Sleeping Owl. Wake The Sleeping Owl. Science Sunday Rainbow Between Storms. July 18, 2010. I actually get to supply the photos for this Science Sunday, with the help of our Sun and some water vapor). In the heat and humidity of a Chicago summer, between strong downpours, this massive rainbow glowed above my neighborhood. Once again, demystification through science enhances – rather than diminishes – beauty. If you happened to read a few past posts ( here. You know that your experience of color ...
