We serve food 7 days a week. We have also have a selection of wines,spirits,ales and soft drinks. All our food is freshly prepared by our chef. We also have an ever changing large selection of freshly prepared daily specials available including Steaks, Fresh Fish, homemade soups and starters and delightful homemade deserts. Please click on our menus to view our selection. Open 7 days a week from 12pm til 11pm. Food served Monday to Saturday 12pm to 9:30pm. Food served Sunday 12pm to 7:30pm.

I went to the Woodman with a friend on Monday lunchtime and had a lovely lunch. We both had their fish and chips which was freshly cooked and nicely presented. They have a varied menu with added Specials of the day. This is a traditional old country pub, dated 1674, with an inglenook fireplace. It has a warm atmosphere, just outside Ongar.
