Buntings in the making. On a bit of a bunting kick! I love the simplicity of them and love playing with fabric combinations when putting them together. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. I made these awhile ago now, but i still love them and i'm definately keen to make more felt food. Emi loved helping with these, cutting the squares, stuffing them and then watching me on the sewing machine. It won't be long till we're going to have to share that machine and learn to take turns with each other! Bunting for my boy.

The Kids and Us. Adventures of our farm in the city. June 26, 2009. Posted by shakeyoursillys under Uncategorized. Lets hope the word “gentle” enters his vocabulary in the next 9 weeks! The poor guy has had such a bad cough that it has been making him spewk! I tucked him up in our bed this morning and let him rest, it lasted all of maybe 10mins but did produce this rather cute photo. It is known as a Rainbow Lily Dress and I found it on www.ravelry.com. The Bird's Nest: August 2010

Thursday, August 26, 2010. Just because she's cute ;). So as not to leave it too long between blog entries, and just because I think she's pretty cute, here is a photo of DD2 in the Oriental Lily I finally finished for her a couple days ago. It was a pretty intense knit, not difficult as such, but I hadn't done the pattern before - so I was really pleased when it turned out a perfect fit and I'm loving the colour too. The pattern is by Georgie Hallam at Tikki Fabric Addict. And is called the Oriental Lily.

Message from Rosebel…end of an era. It’s the end of an era! I’ve decided not to restart iKnit this year. Time to let someone else continue the journey on our local patch or let things take their course. It’s been a great adventure from its beginning almost 4 years ago. My first blog was posted April 19, 2009 and wow, a lot of yarn has passed through busy hands since then! Not to mention countless knitted lovelies. I’ve loved every minute of the group and hold many warm and hilarious memories. Enter your ...

I’ve fallen head-over-heels for this lovely old design for grandbaby number 3, due to arrive in October. I’ve started on the pram/cot size and will decide on final dimensions as it grows. You can pretty much size this pattern how you like, it’s cleverly assembled in squares of 4 which block to make the leaf design. I’m fortunate to have all the versions pictured, by Sirdar. In 4 ply, DK and aran. Sirdar’s latest version. That did it for me – irresistible! Thought I’d post a pic of my WIP for Raz. If you ...
