On April 25, 2011 · Leave a Comment. I’ve never gone in much for poetry. I’m much more of a prose kind of girl. But let me share my personal poetic canon. Middot; Tagged with egocentric musings. What I See, part 1. On June 28, 2011 · Leave a Comment. I have been good about absorbing culture lately. Here’s a (long and really self-indulgent) meditation on drugs. I work at a publishing company now, and it would be absurd for me to avoid the free books that are more or less thrown in my path every day. Interestingly, many of my recent readings and viewings center on medicine, with the specific focus of mental illnesses and/or drugs used to cure them. Before I Go To Sleep. New York Review of Books.

On May 22, 2011 · Leave a Comment. Today I went out to lunch with my Dad. We got Chinese food. I got what I always get Snow White Chicken, which is actually moo goo gai pan. I’ve been almost consistently ordering this dish since I was about six, when I thought that “Snow White” was a reference to the Disney character. Now I’m more inclined to believe that it’s a statement about how white the chicken in this dish is. Anyway. Happy families are all alike, right, Mr. Tolstoy? I’m so freakin deep. Fill in yo...

I’m terrible at setting goals for myself. On May 29, 2011 · Leave a Comment. Mostly because I never think to. Literally, every time I embark on a new adventure, the people around me ask what my goals are. This happens every time New Year’s, a new term, or even a new season arrives. And I almost always either come up blank or make something up (usually stupid I’m not that great at lying on my feet). I hope that was marginally funny to at least one other person.). Um, so. Let’s see. 2 Be sprightly at work.

What I See, part 1. I am so happy you’re here. IT'S SUMMER AGAIN. And this time I'll be in New York City. Working. Yes, dear reader, I have a job! I will be in the marketing department at a publishing house. As we've discussed, I love books and I love promotion, including of myself (look at me, blogging), so this should be the job for me. Welcome to my blog! Here are some slightly lame jokes that I did not make up. Q: Why did the cookie go to the doctor? A: Because it was feeling crumby :(.

Like Zebras protecting themselves, the grey and black suits merged into a marroading highway of pin-stripes and briefcases. A flash of a bright red cocktail dress here, a kid in a pink summer hat there. THE NOISE… WOW! It was like being in an overpacked school canteen… fifty-fold! 8220;oh yes. hi. Not quite sure…. The Wordy Vegan
TWV Eats: Luna’s Living Kitchen, Charlotte NC. Aug 4, 2015. If you ever find yourself in Charlotte, NC, please find your way to Luna’s Living Kitchen. This place is all kinds of awesome. Everything is raw vegan. And believe me when I tell you, it is amazing. I’ve feasted on the Lunasagna, the Living Burrito, and the Rawco Taco Salad. I have been there numerous times, but I am so stuck on the Lunasagna that I haven’t been able to get to many other items on the menu. Washed it all down with Lenny Boy.
