Mash-up: reality and escapism. Making sense of the new and emerging as it affects me. Skip to primary content. The best advice I ever had…. May 19, 2013. In my current state of ‘in between jobs’ and soul searching, I saw this little book ‘The best advice I ever had’. I thought it would be remiss of me not to take a look and this is what I found…. The book is physically small and took about 30 mins to devour. It is a catalogue of ‘advice’ as shared by well-known Australians. 3 ‘If you look after you...

Our life and times. Alex’s Sophomore Concert. L to R: Jessica, Shira, Fernando, Alex (click on the image for more photos). Alex has found a great group of friends in band so band hasn’t just become a subject, it’s become social and although Shira (who won an award) is a rising senior so this is her final band concert, they will remain great friends. Shira has also sparked an interest in Alex to start playing jazz. Perhaps we’ll see him in future playing jazz on stage. May 21, 2016. By Visual Foundry Admin.

Monday, September 30, 2013. Family photo from mommys birthday! We have been enjoying the first bit of springtime here in Melbourne with our little man! My mom was here from mid August until mid September and it was so great having her here to help with Nathan and just to visit! My aunt Billie also came for the first week-ish of the trip so we did some touring of the area. Brian had to be away for 2 1/2 weeks (off shore for work) so it was so amazing having someone here while he was away! We enjoyed the r...

Monday, August 19, 2013. Our baby is here! Nathan Matthew King born July 23rd at 7:57 pm, weighing 5lbs 14 oz and 18 inches. I love my family! Best day of my life! He has been here for nearly a month, it has just taken me awhile to write a quick note about the past 4 weeks! We have been a little preoccupied getting to know our sweet baby boy! My delivery went very well and Nathan had none of the possible problems a premature baby may of had. We were even able to leave the hospital a day early! The past c...

Saturday, February 2, 2013. South Australia road trip! Earlier this week we got back from a great road trip through South Australia. South Australia (if you didnt know) is one of the 6 states in Australia. They only got creative on half of the states names, the other half are named after their location, South Australia, Western Australian and Northern Territory. but enough about that. We left on Thursday afternoon, Brian, myself and the dog! They are so cute and this one is so cuddly hugging the tree!

Wednesday, January 23, 2013. So far 2013 has been great! We have not gone anywhere or done anything spectacular but I really enjoy just spending time relaxing around the house while Brian works on one of his projects. We have been up to a few this and thats around Melbourne so thought I would update with a few pictures etc. Brian and Brody playing in the water. The next day we had a beach BBQ with some friends where we brought our pups, some food, cold beverages and games! It was so fun! I am really thin...
