Cattle is in our blood". Our 1500 acre farm has been in our family since 1940. Our cattle are pasture raised and 100% gass fed from start to finish. They enjoy roaming acres of sustainable managed rangeland. The cattle are never confined to feed lots nor fed grain, corn or unnatural feeds. 100% GRASS FED BEEF. Meat is sold by the half or the whole carcass, only. If a half is too much, most peoples find someone to split it with them. It is vacuum packed (except for ground beef), and freezer ready. The following is approximately what comes with 1/2 a beef depending on the weight of the individual cow. You can choose certain cuts and thickess when you pre-order. 10-12 New York Strips (1"). 2 eye Round Roast. 3 sirloin tip roasts. 10-12 lbs. of stew meat. 10-12 lbs. of cube steak.

Why buy locally-raised grass-fed beef. Cows are by nature designed to eat grass, but industrial feedlots. which supply over 90% of America's supermarkets and fast-food meat, force them to eat grain to fatten and "marble" the meat. As a result, most feedlot cattle are sick and require antibiotics to stay alive. Feedlots cause environmental damage as well. Grass fed beef has the following advantages over grain-finished beef:. 10 times higher in beta carotene. 4-6 times lower in overall fat.

What is hanging weight? When an animal is slaughtered, the hide, head, hooves and organs are removed. The weight of what remains is the hanging weight. How much of the hanging weight will I receive in packaged beef? 55-75%, depending on the cuts. How much freezer space will I need for a 1/2? 8-10 cubic feet should be enough to store up to 200lbs of beef. What is the best way to transport my beef from the processor? We recomend using coolers, 100lbs of beef will fit in a 120qt cooler. What is dry aging?
