Ostrich - Speak. Hell what more can i say? Friday, November 11, 2005. Life and then some. I have moved to a lovely big flat with two lovely mad women. As soon i get around to unpacking the last of my boxes i have this feeling i'm going to buying many things for the house. Compulsive decorator. Ostrich - Speak. Hell what more can i say? Tuesday, July 19, 2005. I had a very long life line on my left palm that extended nearly up to the middle of my wrist. In 7 years as a smoker it’s shrunk considerably to a modest curve that ends just below my mound of Venus. Hopefully I will stay cigarette free and it will work like Wonder-Gro, returning my Life line to its former meandering glory. Flexes muscles in show of strength and resolve*. These Indians are Crazy!: November 2006
http://insanetotempole.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
These Indians are Crazy! The madness that is India and the people thereof. A smattering of blogs I read. In no particular order). Ramblings of a Literary Hack. In the Blink of an Eye. Wisps of my Insanity. Love me or blow me either way. Tuesday, November 28, 2006. Crazy are these Indians? This guy is billed on an event because he is a GOAN HEARTTHROB? Is that some sort of qualification? And what does he perform? Perhaps Edgar Allen Poe could write a story on him - the throbbing heart! In fact it's good e...

Monday, January 29, 2007. Thank You (a year in the life of a blog). Links to this post. Tuesday, January 16, 2007. To feel what I feel now, is to feel everything there is to feel in the world. Everything. Links to this post. More Bass on the Drum Monitor (The rambling saga of a mediocre band). Apologies for cross-posting from Riff Cafe. Base (ahem). Revenge of Smith: January 2011
http://revengeofsmith.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 26, 2011. The last time I reviewed an Aamir Khan film, it was the first post on this blog. The film was Rang De Basanti, an over-the-top, uber-masala bollywood blockbuster that I enjoyed tremendously. If there is an antithesis to Rang De Basanti, it must be Dhobi Ghat. If I had to give a score I'd give this film 7.8/10. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Google believes I am a fish. I strongly refute that. View my complete profile. Ostrachised: No More References
http://ostrachised.blogspot.com/2006/09/no-more-references.html
Poetry and Stories by a highly evolved She-Ostrich (Has opposable thumbs). Tuesday, September 19, 2006. Why should i use a simile. When the metaphor is true? Liken you to person, place, object or thing. When they actually become you? Why should i fashion you? When you already seem so stylish. Impress my thumb on your forehead. With an alien, foreign wish? As you frown beside me in sleep. In your skin, the furrowed ridges. Are so much more expressive. Than analogies or adages. Posted by Ostrich at 4:12 AM.
OstrichSpeak: March 2005

Ostrich - Speak. Hell what more can i say? Wednesday, March 30, 2005. My Captain, My Captain. After the game he thought he had acidity and sent his friend for some Gelusil while he waited in the jeep. He had a cardiac arrest and died alone. He was two months away from my parent’s 25th anniversary, four months away from my high school graduation and six months away from his fiftieth birthday. Thoughts of you made me crawl out of bed at 3 Am and write. I’m sorry. Posted by Ostrich @ 1:28 PM. There were org...

Wisps of my Insanity. Love me or blow me either way. Sunday, March 18, 2007. Even today, the demoniac forces of evil are strutting about the world stage, armed with world destructive weapons and threatening the very future of humanity. It is only on the strength of our philosophy which steels our will to win that we can...

The Writer as Observer | Every detail matters.
The Writer as Observer. No Matter How Hard You Try…. Bull;February 23, 2009 • Leave a Comment. Sometimes, you really and truly can’t win. Take this personal essay. By Alexander Nazaryan from New York Times blog, Proof. Associate Professor of Russian. The article reminds me the early accounts of trips to Moscow by young western journalists – so full of stereotypes and clichés. A splendid example of poor taste. Read with bemusement the article as well all the comments. Not one of the russophiles bothered t...

Book Review: Every Dark Waning. July 16, 2016. July 19, 2016. Every Dark Waning is the kind of book you expect to read when you want to immerse yourself in literary poetry. Each page revolves around a metaphor relating to the ocean or sky. Every poem is skillfully written to appeal to the reader visual senses. The organization is clean, but the poems are rather long so if you have a short attention span like I do, it’s not great. However, if you really love long poetry, it’ll be perfect for you.
