Newer posts →. May 12, 2014. It’s funny, you never really notice how blessed you are until it slaps you so hard in the face that you’re left with nothing but to be in awe. Continue reading →. April 26, 2014. I closed my eyes,. Leaned back and enjoyed the ride. In the wind blowing through my cracked window,. And I took a breath. I inhaled the blessings and the fullness of God. And for just a moment,. You’d be amazed at just how my much He can tell you in a worldly moment. Can I get a refill? March 24, 2014.

Still here | Glasses and Curves
https://glassesandcurves.wordpress.com/2015/07/07/still-here
When it rains, it pours. FAT means LAZY →. July 7, 2015. After seeing the word “quit”, I felt the need to pop in. Pop in and just say HEY! I’m still here and I’m not going anywhere. I just needed some me time, I’m human. Us humans need that. I feel when we are dealing with our emotional selves and when our scale seems to not be so balanced that it is important to take a step back. I’m stepping back. When it rains, it pours. | Glasses and Curves
https://glassesandcurves.wordpress.com/2015/06/02/when-it-rains-it-pours
The scale and I. Still here →. When it rains, it pours. June 2, 2015. If you couldn’t tell from the title, it’s raining here. I’m sitting in the passenger seat while my fiancé attempts to console me from the scale once again. While I listen to the windshield wipers wipe away the down pour I’m angered that. He has to console me from something I did to myself. Here I am again, the scale and I had another fight. The scale went up… And this time, it wasn’t lying. I can be both dammit. I feel like giving up.

The Writing Ladder Blog | Just another WordPress.com weblog
The Writing Ladder Blog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. 8220;You must write, and read, as if your life depended on it.” -Adrienne Rich. January 19, 2009. This was a famous phrase from a work by Adrienne Rich that resonated with me through my later college years as I pursued my writing courses. I think this is the key to really being a writer, to put your mindset in the place where creativity can come from the places that are true to you. Featured Writer of the Month: Virginia Woolf. The Writing Land | …where thoughts and words prevail
8230;where thoughts and words prevail. NaNoWriMo Captain’s Log. December 3, 2011. But it got me thinking about what type of frame of mind we are in when we read specific books. Have any of you experienced this? Anyway, I’m enjoying the book, and I think it’s because I’m in a different place, and I needed to be in this place to enjoy or rather relate to the book. I’ll let you know the outcome. Back in the Saddle. August 8, 2011. This was my favorite class. The opportunity to write in my genre was so r...

The Writing Glass | Mirror, mirror on the wall…Am I achieving my goal?
Mirror, mirror on the wall…Am I achieving my goal? The Great Depression – In My Heart and Pockets. October 23, 2016. From a financial point of view, everything sucks. We are not day-by-day survivors, we are “from who can I borrow some money next in order to pay the debt I owe X or Y”. New clothes have not been bought for at least 5 years, thrift shops, hand-me-downs and whatever grandmas buy for the kids are all it takes to get by. Will the future look like this? I felt voided. I felt numb. Helpl...And o...

The Writing Lesbian | Girls, sex, and wine.
Girls, sex, and wine. One of my readers sent me a thorough email about my writing habits, and why I have not been writing as much, and I began to realize that this is one hell of a commitment I was not sure I was ready to make, anymore. This post is about life. And how sometimes life stings you like a mosquito, but you got to put some anti-itch cream on, and keep hustling. Thats what I’ve been doing. Let me tell you about my bug bites first:. The first, itchy, bite:. The third, inevitable bite:. Within t...

Writing Down The Shelter
Writing Down The Shelter. Volunteering at a DV shelter, watching the changes and choices its residents go through. Monitoring my own changes and choices because of them. Tuesday, June 26, 2012. If I had to use one word to describe my mother it would be “unafraid.” She probably would have told you there were things she was afraid of. But to me she never acted like she was afraid of anything. My mother had confidence and I believe that confidence is just another form of courage. 8221; he asked. 8220;Yes,&#...
