The Writings of a Math Librarian Student Teacher

The Writings of a Math Librarian Student Teacher. Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Unit Rates Worksheet - Day 8. Today was my first official day of student teaching. And I had a substitute teacher in my math classes(! Things that I liked about today:. Students responded to me well, even though I had not been officially introduced to them by my cooperating teacher. Students were not afraid to ask questions when they didn't understand how to figure out the answer to a problem. Things that I learned today:.

The Writings of a Math Librarian Student Teacher. Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Decimals, Words, and Fractions - Day 5. On Wednesdays, my cooperating teacher likes to take her classes into the computer lab and let them work on different math related assignments using technology. I think that it is good to incorporate technology into the classroom and to let students learn in an interactive and visual environment. Things that I liked about today:. The Writings of a Math Librarian Student Teacher: Student Teaching Orientation - Day 3

The Writings of a Math Librarian Student Teacher. Monday, August 27, 2012. Student Teaching Orientation - Day 3. Being the first day of the university semester, college students who will be student teaching this semester attend an orientation before officially beginning in their assigned secondary schools. This orientation honestly made me feel overwhelmed about student teaching at the middle school. There will be a lot to do, learn, and remember as I complete this experience. Things that I learned today:.

The Writings of a Math Librarian Student Teacher. Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Student Teaching Orientation - Day 4. Today was the second day of the student teaching orientation provided by the university. More of the same compared to the post from yesterday. Things that I liked about today:. Learn the names of your students. Don't yell at your students. They will usually be more responsive to a softer and kinder tone. Things that I learned today:. On their person. This could be a controversial topic fo...

Miss Alycen: May 2013

http://missalycen.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

Thursday, May 16, 2013. So about the beginning of April I got a wild hair and decided I needed to make a surprise trip home. Dolly needed to go shopping for new clothes since she’d worked so hard in getting so fit and I was just the one to go with her. So I schemed the whole thing up with Travis, bought my tickets, rented a car from Costco (yes, they do rentals! And away I went. I felt the smaller the better for the public! So we tried again! Doesn’t Dolly look great? It was so nice to see everyone.

Miss Alycen: November 2012

http://missalycen.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

Wednesday, November 21, 2012. Here A Little There A Little. Well, life here in Spokane has mostly settled into regular life. It has been nice in its own way to live in a bigger city because there are so many things that a city offers that we don't get out in the country. So here's a lil' break down of the last couple of months. The temple and the changing leaves! Could it get any scarier? Needless to say, no takers for this single lady that night! We get a little crazy! We just had so much fun! It was a ...

Friday, January 10, 2014. I went to visit Mom for Christmas and the only picture I got was when we drove to the AZ state line just to say I drove the whole state of Utah. Also visited the Park family and these two yayhoos! My roommates and I were in charge of the ward Christmas party and we did a night in Bethlehem and it turned out really well! I also crocheted this awesome beard for a white elephant gift! Turned out pretty cool! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Picking up where we left off.

Miss Alycen: July 2012

http://missalycen.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 30, 2012. Just a lil Somethin I threw together :). So I've been looking to find a hobby that I can be passionate about. I think, I think I've found one! So this here dress is hopefully the first of many! It is a 1950's party dress of black satin. You can't really see the neckline because of the shrug which is because of the garments, but it is boatneck and it turned out pretty good. Sunday, July 22, 2012. Semana 1 e 2 of the Adventure! Oh yes people, that is a Canadian flag! I've apparently ...

Miss Alycen: October 2012

http://missalycen.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Saturday, October 13, 2012. And So, I Fell In Love. Okay, only a month and a half later! Over Labor Day weekend, Lauriann and I decided we would take a little trip over to the West Side! So, we all know that Alycen isn't much of a city girl. The first week or so I was in Spokane I had to leave the city and get out into the country because I felt so claustrophobic and Spokane is only the size of the Salt Lake valley, so not huge. Seattle has, oh a couple million people, but I LOVED IT! It was so much fun!

Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Whenever I smell coconut…. Okay, this is proof of how much I do not want to do my homework when I post on my blog! Well, the next up on my adventures is my wonderful trip to see my old roommate Sheila on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii! Never fly Allegiant Airlines! Just FYI. I missed my connecting flight from Honolulu to Maui, BUT I got to go to Pearl Harbor! It was very peaceful! I finally made it to Maui! And then we hit the beach on the other side of the island in Lahaina!
