Fringey: September 2005
http://fringey.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Life On The Outskirts. Thursday, September 29, 2005. 29/09/05 Stylish Riots @ The Scala - Dogs headlining. Dogs - they do something to a crowd and me. They reach in and rip out something deliciously ferral and something desperately fragile and let them fight it out. Then when they're good and done they stuff it back in, kiss it better and hump your leg for good measure, before scampering off to the bar. Posted by LuceFringey @ 11:58 pm. Dogs @ the Scala - woof! We blame the rubbish running order! Nope, I...

Fringey: August 2004
http://fringey.blogspot.com/2004_08_01_archive.html
Life On The Outskirts. Saturday, August 28, 2004. The vodka jelly Reading Festival, Saturday, 2004. So anyway, the Saturday at Reading was rather good. And it didn’t rain at all, not even a small shower. La la la la la la la! We didn’t get there till late, and the Radio 1 tent was rammed for Bloc Party. So the first band we really saw was Agent Blue. So young, bless them, I swear the drummer was only 14! Then off to see Razorlight. Then, grabbing some vodka jelly on the way, it was Har Mar Superstar.

Fringey: April 2005
http://fringey.blogspot.com/2005_04_01_archive.html
Life On The Outskirts. Saturday, April 30, 2005. Soulwax, Zutons and LCD at Brixton. Fringey met up in the 'Living' Bar and ordered a couple of double vodkas, forgot about the non-happy hour prices and the extra large measures, so was 18 for a two person round! Which we did twice! We were quite merry when we finally got to the Academy. Soulwax were brilliant, just as we thought they might be! Very good thank you. Posted by Jo Fringey @ 10:30 pm. Saturday, April 09, 2005. Injuries at Interpol, Brixton.

Life On The Outskirts. Saturday, August 27, 2005. Reading Festival, Saturday, 2005. Seems like years ago now, so sorry for rambling. Got there in time for the LONGCUT - quite dancy, the English Rapture, who I quite liked but were far better suited to sweaty club at 1am than a lunch time festival slot. Then I finally, finally got to see CLOR. Hurrah! And they were pure electro and pop. Ace! And finally it was back to the ickle Carling Stage to see the RAVEONETTES (utterly fabulous, Scandinavian, electro, ...

Fringey: January 2005
http://fringey.blogspot.com/2005_01_01_archive.html
Life On The Outskirts. Saturday, January 15, 2005. It seemed that EVERY indie kid in London was headed to Frog at the Meanfiddler tonight and all for the Futureheads. The queue went right around the block, and was way round the corner when we finally joined! So anyway, after a bit we realised that it wasn’t moving at all and, as we weren't 'guestlist', I'm afraid that we *had*. To cut in line -. We later saw the people who had been just behind us, they said they’d queued for 2 hours. Mind The Gap Radio&#...

Fringey: May 2005
http://fringey.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
Life On The Outskirts. Wednesday, May 04, 2005. Hot Hot Heat @ Koko. Important gig this as it was during pre gig drinking that Fringey was first conceived. The word, the concept and the way of life! And to think, it almost didn’t happen because I was absolutely dying with the evil flu that day. However lots of vodka and paracetemol got me through in the end. Btw, the Koko in Camden is lovely venue, we were very impressed with its plush redness, chandeliers, multiple bars and huge glitterball.

Fringey: July 2005
http://fringey.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
Life On The Outskirts. Tuesday, July 26, 2005. Dogs and Komakino @ 100 club. To be honest Fringey just got the tickets to see. On a whim, we were looking for something a bit different and wanted to check out the 100 club. And then, when we got there and were surrounded by 'haircuts', we had a few second thoughts. But the chap from the fabulous support,. Restored our faith when he started to harrang the arms foldy and too cool to dance audience, by commanding them to. Clap you fucking cool bastards! On a ...

Fringey: March 2005
http://fringey.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html
Life On The Outskirts. Monday, March 14, 2005. Bright Eyes @ Astoria. Never mind that the entire band look like music nerds, that Conor Oberst was working a slightly dated fey indie boy look, or that they pretty much stuck to a set list from the 'Wide Awake' album - it was amazing. Oberst didn't so much sing the songs, as channel them. For 'Lua' he got rid of the band and performed solo with just his guitar, and the audience almost stopped breathing. Posted by Jo Fringey @ 11:00 pm. That way lies Madness!

Fringey: June 2005
http://fringey.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
Life On The Outskirts. Monday, June 27, 2005. Half Cut and Trashed. Fringey had been meaning to go to Trash at the End for ages. Unfortunately when we finally made it, over the hallowed threshold, never had the words ‘c* t soup’ been so apt a description. And don’t get me started on the bitch at the door deciding if we were cool enough to come in. However, CUT COPY. It was like being in a ‘special school’ disco. We didn’t stay till the end. Trash can take their. And stick it up their collective arse!
