Another Ordinary Life: January 2015

Monday, January 26, 2015. This lovely little creek is just blocks from our house. Nothing like throwing rocks into a creek on a 70 degree day in January. Saturday, January 24, 2015. I finally joined the fitness band trend. I debated between a Fitbit Charge, Jawbone Up3, Vivofit, and Vivosmart. After going to the store I realized that all of the bands other then the Fitbit Flex and Vivosmart were way too big for my wrists. Since the Vivosmart had the features I wanted I settled on it. I'll keep you updated.

Another Ordinary Life: Wantables
http://another-ordinary-life.blogspot.com/2015/03/wantables.html
Monday, March 9, 2015. I recently decided to give a few subscription boxes a try and here is my March Wantables box. It is the first box I received. This month included a camisole and PJ set. Honestly I was a little underwhelmed with the volume in the box and the estimated value of the box was $60 (which isn't that much more then the $40 it cost). But I wouldn't have picked either item out myself and since one of my goals was to try new things that is good. Also both items fit which is good. New Website,...

Another Ordinary Life: Twilight Hat - Free Pattern
http://another-ordinary-life.blogspot.com/2009/07/twilight-hat-free-pattern.html
Thursday, July 16, 2009. Twilight Hat - Free Pattern. I am a huge Twilight fan and I recently knitted myself a pair of “Bella’s Mittens” using Subliminal Rabbit’s pattern. I love the mittens and I want a pair in every color. Of course I decided that I needed a hat to match my new mittens so here is the pattern for the simple hat that I made. I loved the chunky earthy feel of the yarn in combination with the flirty fun crystal buttons. I hope you enjoy this project too! Height: 7.5 inches. R23 - 24: k1 ac...

Another Distraction: Christopher 1 and 2
http://melissaandryanh.blogspot.com/2011/04/christopher-1-and-2.html
Christopher 1 and 2. I decided that Ryan needed a nicer hat than the first one I knitted him. He also had told me that the first hat was not very warm. So I searched for a warmer pattern for him. this. Is what I found. That hat was easy and fun to knit. It is reversible and double layered. Thus making it very warm. Ryan liked the hat so much that he had me make one for Shaun. Ryan even went and picked out the yarn for Shaun's hat (Blazer colors). Pattern -Christopher by Jane Richmond. Christopher 1 and 2.

Another Ordinary Life: Welcome Spring!
http://another-ordinary-life.blogspot.com/2015/03/new-beginnings.html
Friday, March 20, 2015. I am ready for spring! Planted my first flowers today. I also added a tiny owl and turtle to the garden. Keira has to go outside and pet them multiple times per day. The bulbs from the fall are blooming! Just waiting for the tulips now! I am obsessed with my yard. Who would have guessed? Gardening isn't really my thing.or at least it didn't used to be. And I decided to bring a bit of the outdoors in - tulips in a mason jar? Chase looks adorable in his new shades. Blogs to Check Out.
