Ramblings on knitting, mothering, learning, writing, and rural living. Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Singletrack: friends, fear and faith. Singletrack as defined by wikipedia. In other words, they tried to kill me. Okay, maybe I'm being melodramatic. I got over my aversion to wearing a bike helmet (so I don't die! That exaggerates my already extra large head thereby making it a super bubble head. It was time to have some fun, big head, tight pants and scrawny muscles be damned, I was gonna do this thing.

About Me (and This Blog). Lambartin’s Class Log. I read Slashdot every day to keep abreast of current technological (and other nerdy) news stories. While some of the comment threads can get rather hostile, (so it might be wise to avoid them when more controversial topics are brought up) there is a lot of valuable and interesting information posted daily. The stories are reader submitted, so some are more relevant than others, but it is definitely worth keeping in your bookmarks. My favorite place to buy ...

Ten year old videographers are known to be shaky and give commentary sounding like Darth Vader mixed with youthful cheerleader. dogs wrestling are an irresistable camera draw}. I originally bought the slackline. I can see my retirement now.I'll be the wacky lady slacklining on the beach, my husband lost on a boat fishing somewhere. I hope the kids will come visit. Ramblings on knitting, mothering, learning, writing, and rural living. Wednesday, April 10, 2013. The time has come to say goodbye to my blog. Part of me is sad and a bit nostalgic but more than anything I'm excited. This blog started as one thing and ended up something quite different than the original intention. It's time to start fresh. So rather than being all final about it, why don't we start something new? Skip on over to my new address at backyardrunner.com. Links to this post. What we're up to.

knit...simply knit: The invitation
http://knitsimplyknit.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-invitation.html
Ramblings on knitting, mothering, learning, writing, and rural living. Wednesday, October 24, 2012. It's a long story so I'll try to cut it down. A very few of you may remember when I read the book below. I was introduced to this blog. By a kind friend. I've been reading what she writes for years. I had kept it all fairly close in, until Clair. Conversation led to action and we took a road trip. The goal, to hear Karen Maezen Miller speak and give us some instruction on meditation. Of all things. And wit...

Ramblings on knitting, mothering, learning, writing, and rural living. Wednesday, March 27, 2013. I Didn't Throw Up. A favorite seventy-something year-old friend likes to remind us (whenever we get fed up with current circumstances) that all we have to do is wait five minutes and things will change. We know this to be true about the weather of late. These photos mark a time lapse of 48 hours. Okay, so that's longer than five minutes. So with a little help from a book. On loan from Clair. I'm up to eleven...

Ramblings on knitting, mothering, learning, writing, and rural living. Sunday, March 24, 2013. I write best when I run, so I think. I am eloquent, have earth-shattering thoughts and get goosebumpy with ideas. Maybe it's the oxygen, the surging brain juices and electricity. Perhaps I'm delusional. Because when it's all over and I sit in front of the computer to type, my hands hover as if frozen above the keyboard and my mind is barren as a desert. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This used to be about a bunch of things… now, it’s just knitting! All knitting, all the time! I am alive… contrary to popular belief. Bull;November 27, 2008 • 2 Comments. I think I might have one reader left… If I’m lucky… Hi Tana! So I thought you might want the news on why I’ve been gone. First and foremost, an outlet for me to put my brain down on paper for me, and if someone else likes it, then so be it. And I wanted to put that on here for so long, but for the first 12 weeks, Bret just didn’t ...

This used to be about a bunch of things… now, it’s just knitting! All knitting, all the time! 2008 – Some finished objects you never got to see. Knitted with Knit Picks Gloss, on 3’s and 2’s as called for. Gauge was spot on, and I enjoyed the lace pattern for the most part. But… on the edges for the increases it could get a little hairy here and there. Knitted with Colrain Lace from Webs on US 6’s. No mods, except for the occassional forgotten picot stich on the edge. Is the best picture of me in it!
