Biography
http://www.theyarnsmithofnorwich.com/Biography.html
Check out my video promo by Mark Curwood. My name’s Dave Tonge and I am an author, historian and storyteller. I’ve been telling tales since 1999. Prior to that I had a very varied career which in itself would make a good story, although alas far too long to tell here! Suffice to say that by the early 1990s I was unhappy with the road I was travelling, went back into learning and by 2000 found myself with a BA and MA in English history and even the first year of a PhD under my belt! I’m also a member of t...

Heritage Interpretation: June 2008
http://heritageinterpretation.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
This blog is one of the places where I reflect upon my practice as an historical educator and interpreter, and share some of my research. Sunday, 15 June 2008. The First Few Minutes. The list of scenarios is almost endless. So, faced with all those different thoughts in all those different heads; faced with that array of different faces all focusing on you, how are we to begin? Before the formal delivery begins, it is crucial to engage. Yes, I know that, technically, the Advanced Organisers are the openi...

Tales from the Undercroft: No more Tales from the Undercroft
http://talesfromundercroft.blogspot.com/2014/07/no-more-tales-from-undercroft.html
Sunday, July 6, 2014. No more Tales from the Undercroft. Its sad I know, but unfortunately we have had to wrap up Tales from the Undercroft, because our regulars are just too busy with their own projects to keep it going. It only remains to thank all of those who have supported us over the last few years and I hope to see many of you whilst telling here, there and anywhere else for that matter! Tuesday, December 3, 2013. The many merry gests of Robin Hood at the Undercroft. We are doing different this December at the Undercroft. Not only have we moved from the first wednesday to the second tuesday, but we have two professional tellers coming to share their stories with us. Wendy and Michael Dacre. In the first half of Tales from the Undercroft in April, one of our regulars, Kelly Kanayama will be performing:. If You Ever Leave Me. All in the middle of a forest that could be magic. Think you've heard it before? In the second half of the evening it will be tales from the floor. No theme, just what ever takes your fancy. Let me know if you wish to tell as spaces might be limited. Tales from the Undercroft: June 2013
http://talesfromundercroft.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Dominic Kelly Tells 'Crow'. Thanks to all those who joined us for Jim Kavanagh and Liam Carroll's Tales from the Tain in June. as one member of the audience said:. The contrast in telling style between Liam and Jim worked brilliantly well. Hope you go places with it. They even got some kisses! Certainly the feeling was that they should develop the Tain into a show and take it on the road. From Irish tales though to Dominic Kelly telling CROW. Would have been worth the 3-hour.

The yarn spinner's chronicle. A writer's blog about the environment, history, and other beautiful things. Who’d have thought? That you go to a writing workshop and come home with a basket! Why make a basket at a writing workshop? Well, it’s the same philosophy that’s behind men’s sheds keeping your hands busy and standing side by side, or sitting side by side in our case, allowing the talk to flow freely. And although…. The Spinning Yarn | A blog for short stories
March 25, 2014 · 9:02 am. You know it almost feels like schools are frozen in time. Nishant said taking his first sip of the morning coffee. Asked Richa, the woman he’d been married to for the past 2 years. This was the ritualistic early morning breakfast chatter of the young twenty something couple taking place at the dining table in a fairly average sized (some might say tiny) apartment in a busy suburb of the city. Richa took another sip from her cup and gulped some coffee down before replying Oh God!
