Just another day in paradise...

Just another day in paradise. Just another semi-soggy-crunchy homeschooling mom who doesn't want to forget the little things that matter the most. Write These Things Down. Lennox. Sweet Wemmox. He is SO big and does so much and I need to take a second to write it all down so we don't forget! At 3 weeks he started giving responsive smiles. Daddy got the first one but I have had my fair share :). This next one was taken between 5-6 weeks. Little guy is/was STRONG. It's amazing to see how much he has grown.

Just another day in paradise. Just another semi-soggy-crunchy homeschooling mom who doesn't want to forget the little things that matter the most. Last Day of November. I wanted to write about Day 2 of Seattle but my brain is a bit fuzzy and I can't recap everything as sharply as I'd like. I'll make a timeline and get back on that soon :). Around 4:50 my friend Mandi picked us up at our house (wow, that's a good friend, especially considering NONE of our friends are morning people! Once back at the room ...

Just another day in paradise. Just another semi-soggy-crunchy homeschooling mom who doesn't want to forget the little things that matter the most. The End of August. For people who don't really have much going on, we sure do have a lot going on! Watching a nature video. Seeing themselves on the TV is so fun to them. It cracks me up because anytime we enter or leave Kroger they both love to wave at themselves and think they are really important because they are on TV! Summertime and Poppy Les. We have tak...

Just another day in paradise. Just another semi-soggy-crunchy homeschooling mom who doesn't want to forget the little things that matter the most. At first P wasn't thrilled with his "big skates" but once we switched to trainers he was fine. I think, had I asked, tightening the wheels would have made a huge difference. We can try that next time! My sweet baby is 5. I just can't and won't believe it. Watching him grow has been such a joy! And today is Wednesday. Today I am 32 weeks pregnant. This ...I've ...

Just another day in paradise. Just another semi-soggy-crunchy homeschooling mom who doesn't want to forget the little things that matter the most. Meal Plan Monday :-). So this is what we're eating this week. I'm already a day "behind" which is a good thing because it just means that I'm covered through next Monday as far as food goes which is fabulous! I have recipes for everything (for the most part, I kind of wing it a lot of the time) so if anything looks like something you'd want, let me know :).

One Day at a Time...: Summer Recap: May

http://kamionedayatatime.blogspot.com/2012/09/summer-recap-may.html

One Day at a Time. Mother's Day 2012 (Graham still had his black eye, forever commemorated in my Mother's Day picture from 2012). Last Day of pre-k for Logan (sniff, sniff.you can even tell his teacher had been crying.) They also celebrated his birthday this day because the last day of school was May 23rd. Last time to play on the school playground before summer break. May 25th, 2012- Logan's 5th Birthday. Shane and I did the March of Dimes together with the Farmer's team. Shane was the coach!

One Day at a Time...: April 2012

http://kamionedayatatime.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

One Day at a Time. I heard the new song by Jason Mraz yesterday. Called "I won't Give Up.". I just love it. My favorite part is: ". And when you're needing your space. To do some navigating. I'll be here patiently waiting. To see what you find. I was crying in my car last night listening to it and thinking of my boys and how quickly they're growing. How darn hard it is to make the right decisions for them. To find the balance between protecting them and letting them find their own way. No, I won't give up.

One Day at a Time...: Summer Recap: July

http://kamionedayatatime.blogspot.com/2012/09/summer-recap-july.html

One Day at a Time. In early July, Logan attended VBS at our church for the first time. It was such a wonderful experience for him! He really enjoyed it and said that it was "the best playdate EVER! I spent a lot of one-on-one time with Logan over the summer as we prepared for kindergarten to start in the fall. We spent a lot of that time painting. It's a good thing he's cute! BUT, he was back to his old self really quickly (this was taken the very next morning.). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). DIY S...

Checking out his work space in his class room. There is his locker! First day of school.doesn't he look ready to go? We are not morning people, so having to be out the door by 7:20am has been a pretty tough adjustment for all of us. Graham wasn't really sure what was happening, but he was enjoying the fun!

One Day at a Time. Mama said there'd be days like this. Saturday was not a fine day at our house. Graham got his first black eye and Logan got his first x-ray. Sigh. We had Logan's kindergarten (AACK! Did I mention that I was right there? I even caught his arm, but I could not stop his little face from hitting the iron step. I could tell within a few minutes that it was starting to black, but I had NO IDEA that it would turn into the huge shiner it is today. Here is a picture of him back home that night,...

One Day at a Time. We took Logan to see the Roughriders play with his t-ball team (so HOT, but so much fun! In June, we took our first family vacation. We headed over to East Texas to ride a steam engine, then down to Galveston. Here are the boys in their "road trip" shirts (Are we there yet? Are we there yet? May burst into random acts of sarcasm, political rants, and independent thinking. Read at your own risk. Thursday, October 27, 2011. On my personal blog I posted about how we came to be a homeschool family. I am writing this post to further that conversation to what has reinforced our decisions and why we strongly urge others to look into options outside of government education. I am opposed to free education as much as I am opposed to taking. Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses Vol. 18, p. 357). I do n...

A place in which I ramble about the books I read and truth, beauty, and goodness found in everyday life. Friday, August 7, 2015. Concentric circles, Charlotte Mason, and LER. I think the biggest thing that has stuck out to me as I've been reading, reading, reading, and praying a TON, is the narrowing down of my focus. I really felt this at LER. The connections, the beauty, and the life that comes out of this years in the making. There is no rush, there is no end to these connections. They call me mommy.

8230;and i like it. A bit of Moosie. May 7, 2011. I was born in June 1997. My birth mother’s name was Barbara. In July 1999 she died of a brain tumor. :(. Later my dad married a woman named Juli. Because I was so tiny I didn’t really know Momma Barbara, so I now refer to Juli as Momma. I love both my Mommas. But I really love the one I have now. Even though you’re a bit crazy, and even though you left me at the Columbus Trade Center one time, I’ll always love you. The death of evil. May 3, 2011. You&#821...
