The Year of My Dog. Wednesday, January 16, 2008. Scottie often splays out his legs for no real reason. His hips just give out and he looks like a giraffe, flat on his stomach with legs splayed. Unlike the giraffe, Scottie can usually scramble to his feet. Even with his creaky bones and weak legs, Scottie can still leap out of the car and land running. For some reason this action doesn't force his hips to give out, at least not yet. Posted by downward dog @ 8:39 AM. Poo on The Rug? Sad Day at the Vets.

The Year of My Dog. Tuesday, August 29, 2006. Scottie likes body contact. He isn't a licker but he likes hugging, he likes contact. Unlike most dogs he will approach from behind and walk between your legs, knowing (I think hoping) that you will squeeze your legs together and scissor him. He just stops when caught and starts panting as you bend down to scratch his neck or pat him. He never fights to get loose. The Year of My Dog. Monday, January 07, 2008. On January 4th, I took Scottie for a walk on the Shell Road trail. As we neared the London Drugs industrial area, a man and his dog came bounding down the little hill from the parking lot and they obviously were coming to see us. He owned an 8 year old Keeshond female and he was looking for a purebred male to breed to her. His first question was "male"? And his second was "is he fixed? Posted by downward dog @ 12:33 PM. When I unlocked the door for Curtis, he opened it and tried to shoo Scottie out. Scottie paused, thought about resisting and then jumped out.
