The Year of the Bicycle: You Win Some, You Lose Some...

http://theyearofthebicycle.blogspot.com/2008/07/you-win-some-you-lose-some.html

The Year of the Bicycle. Nulla tenaci invia est via. Saturday, July 5, 2008. You Win Some, You Lose Some. And I'm one and one on the day. I started out by heading up to Dungeness-Gold Creek. Back on the highway I knew I needed to do something to redeem myself so I drove to the Miller Peninsula. After a quick shower back at the room, Michele and I rode over to the Alder Wood Bistro. For lunch. Oyster Poor Boy and Truffle Fries, good stuff. Posted by Sean Armstrong. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Year of the Bicycle: Thanksgiving! Again!

http://theyearofthebicycle.blogspot.com/2010/11/thanksgiving-again.html

The Year of the Bicycle. Nulla tenaci invia est via. Thursday, November 25, 2010. A s a kid, Thanksgiving for me used to mean bad food, a whole lot of extended family, and sleeping in the storage cellar at a borrowed beach house. Seriously. Chipotle meatballs, of course. It's amazing the amount of prep that goes into getting the boy to the party and ensuring that he doesn't get drunk while Michele does. We were successful at that by the way. Here's to next year! The Year of the Bicycle. Nulla tenaci invia est via. Sunday, March 24, 2013. Shaking The Dust Off. A quick ride at Miller to start things going again. A Destination for Passionate Riders and Ride Reflections. Saturday, January 26, 2013. Unusual Recent Finds While Riding. The last two weekends riding Ft Lewis's single track has yielded some unusual finds. The first find was running across a number of mammoth concrete weights used by Chinook helicopters to practice maneuverings. They were located in the middle of a meadow and area that had been closed off for about 6 months. Got on the bike and rode another 20', looked down and saw a twenty- dollar bill!

A Destination for Passionate Riders and Ride Reflections. Saturday, July 6, 2013. Getting Bend Dialed In. Three months into living in Bend proper (after 8 months in Sunriver) I feel like I am getting my "local" trails dialed in. We landed in NW Bend, a stone's throw from Shevlin Park. What does this mean? Am also starting to get introduced to the real "local" trails outside of the famous Phil's network. Proud to have joined the Central Oregon Trail Association (COTA) and joined a work crew last weeke...

Lewis single track and decided to go up the Kennedy Creek area (off Highway 101) approx, 13 miles. It was a mistake as they re-bladed the nice double-track dirt road and it's now peppered with sharp 3-5" rocks surrounded by nice thick soup of . . . mud.
